Risen Shaggy is one of the many, many reasons why I'm glad that I main multiple weapons. Dual blades for monsters who won't stop moving, greatsword for tall monsters or ones that leave big openings, gunlance for those with bad hitzones, sns for a good all-rounder, hunting horn for swag, and hbg if I don't feel like playing the game lol.
To answer your question as to how i do this, i bring literally anything but hammer its easily one of its worst matchups aha up there with toaster. For actual advice though he has 2 combo's where you can hit the head safely but you'll only get a couple swings so you want to have uppercut or the level 3 ready and just wait for those attacks
You have my respect for actively choosing the hard mode (150 vs 200, 220, 250hp). Most just go with the berb and say, "This game too easz. No fun" Especially in a game where monsters track more accurately than Iceborne. (and having no mantles like evasion or rock steady to help you survive!)
Risen Shagaru Magala is an unholy mix of fast attacks, long combos, low downtime, hard-to-reach good hitzones, and huge amounts of lingering AoE effects. Remove just a single one of these aspects, and the fights becomes infinitely more manageable.
This guy is a NIGHTMARE to fight with lance too. Same issue of "I can't hit his fucking head". Plus his number of AoE, multi-hit hitboxes is ATROCIOUS, I literally can't see what's happening on my screen for 70% of this fight lmao
I actually have the complete opposite experience with lance. All the other weapons struggle a fair bit, but Lance is my most consistent weapon against him. I like the matchup so much.
Personally, I don't think they'll add a hazard amatsumagatsuchi like in iceborne with Fatalis, amatsumagatsuchi is supposed to be the final title update monster and primordial was supposed come with it but Capcom decided it needed it's own introductionto for the new anomaly grafting.
i hate this thing so MUCH any time i try to do any meaningful DPS with my IG, i’m aimed straight for a clear shot at his head with a diving wyvern and he just JUMPS BACK
I managed to beat his level 300 with hammer solo with no followers, pets, evade extender on a 30 minute timer. Seeing this makes me want to try it again with no spirit birds.🤣 (even if it'll be painful.🙃) Seems fun though. May have to get a few friends to try it.
with the way you 4 lads play games, it makes me hope you'll play Minecraft (Hard Mode) or any Backrooms games. it'd be funny - for the audience, that is.
