  • Lawn / slate separation edging using treated wood. We are avoiding having the decorative slate mixing with the lawn. We install a treated wooden batton around the edge of the lawn. Hope you enjoy it please like share comment and subscribe and don't forget to press the 🔔#listentolee

    I never ever have seen anyone who does lawn maintenance around here do the thorough work and care that you do in your business. They just don't do gardens as well as England I guess.Very excellent skilled work!!!

    Reminds me of a job I did some time ago. Absolutely pissing down and quoted to remove gravel from a 10ftx10ft front garden. Scooped up some of the gravel and it was only about 2" deep. I thought shouldn't take long. Untill you got further in and it was more like 10" in parts. But quoted for the job and had to finish it. Over a day to do!

    Do you keep the cuts on the inside of the curve or the outside. I suppose it would change the look a little. And how wide is the board or how deep do they go?

    • @LHLgardenservices
      @LHLgardenservices  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it depends if the wood is going to be on show..on this job if doesn't matter because the wood wont be seen...also the gaps will swell and join up tight and you wont see them anyway 👍👍

    Hi, as always interesting videos. Here in Italy we use many volcanic lapilli to decorate the flower beds. Do you use them? If so, how do you manage weed growth? Does the wood you use in this video not rot over time?

    • @LHLgardenservices
      @LHLgardenservices  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you ..yes wood will rot eventually but it's treated so will lasg years.👍

    Hi Lee. Lawn edging with timber can be a right pain. Have you ever used sheet steel cut down? Plus a little tip lol I use a staple gun to attach the fabric to the timber first then you can pull it tighter and it'll stay neater if the slate moves. Nice video as always - if it doesn't stop raining roon we'll all start growing gills 🐟🐠🐡

    I overseeded a bit of my own lawn in November. I was going to chuck the seed out as I opened it in March, so just threw it down on a bare spot. Its come up and is growing very well. Bear in mind I am in Scotland and we have had temps down to -7 locally. You might be surprised what happens with a bit of topdressing.

    • @LHLgardenservices
      @LHLgardenservices  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Totally agree...I've put down seed in January in another vid....gardening is not set in concrete and it all depends on the weather...it will ALWAYS shock us of prove us wrong.

    love the marks on the lawn - you sure you havent left your spacehoppers there?
    CAnt beleive you are washing gravel to save a bob, but then I remembered at my last job, a wet day was spent straightening 6inch nails, and thats not a joke!!
