Could literally make a Wonder Woman game that's like god of war and not change any of the enemies or bosses.
You know what pisses me off? When the same people that suggest a Wonder Woman game, are the same people that say a Superman game can never be made because he's too OP...im like wtf?! They have they almost have identical powers. I'm not coming down on you of course, you just reminded me of that frustration when you mentioned WW. But yeah, I agree with you.
J Rob i think a difference is Wonder Woman’s power level is a little more flexible than Superman’s. Sometimes she’s at Superman’s level.
@@jrob4795 I think an easy way around that perceived problem would be basing the game on a young clark kent who develops his powers over the course of the game. Could do a skill tree. Elite skill is a cellophane S that's unblockable and CC's for 10 seconds.
J Rob i think is harder to do a Superman game because when you make a superhero game adaptation you should feel like the superhero. Hack n slash games like God of War fit very well with Wonder Woman and with some changes like she shifting between lasso, sword, shield and punches we could have a great game. But in a game where you feel like you are Superman it would need a big open world where you can fly long distances which I think is much harder.

ArchangelExile it’s a completely different game than the much-loved console version. It’s horribly buggy and poorly optimized, the controls are terrible, there’s no open world, all webswinging is done use these ugly anchor points floating in the sky... it’s just an infamously bad game.
@@Zakemaster Wow, why not just port the original game over and simply give it superior graphics? Why make it a completely different game? There were probably separate studios involved for each iteration, but still...
@@ArchangelExile different times. pc games back then were different than those in consoles. for example in pc we got the iron man game from ps2, instead of the ps3 version which was better, then we got splinter cell double agent, but the ps3 version which was horrible instead of the ps2 lol. so yeah, most games in pc were trashy ports or different versions, it was pure console games.
That ultimate Spider-Man game was massively underrated
It's basically my favorite Spider-man game. Nostalgia goggles help push it over the PS4 game for me. I really wish they'd re-release it somehow, maybe remastered or something.

I mean they still are, it's just it's easier to pump out a low effort tie in when it's on mobile or a web based game
I only recently found out that they made a tie-in video game for the Jumanji reboot, and also a VR game for some reason

@Donald Hariot Yeah to an extent, think about it. Shrek 2 the video game, Spiderman 2 the game tie in with the same actors from the Raimi Trilogy....There's no Dark Knight the video game. I think that era died in like 2010....Like the guy above me said, guess the medium changed to mobile and web games cause it was easier to make money that way. The times, they are'a changing!

The way Spider-Man travels through the city is one of the great achievements of popular art. Like no one has ever done anything remotely like that in real life, except maybe a gibbon in the jungle somewhere, and yet it has been rendered in such a believable and exhilarating way in movies and tv shows and video games, with each of them building on the last.

When I was a child I got spider-man 3 on the DS for christmas. I was so excited I ignored my other presents and immediately got my DS to play it. When I opened the case there was no Spider-man 3, instead there was Madden 07, as they had gotten the game from gamestop, where they put the game in the box after you've paid for it.
Kinda disappointed you didn't mention Madden 07.
I legitimately love the first Lego Marvel Superheroes. Perfect mix of MCU versions of the Avengers and SHIELD, but with X-men, Fantastic Four, and Silver Surfer. I love that game.
Peter in the ps4 version looks like Tom and Tobey had a child and Andrew is the mom. And somehow the baby grows up to still be fucking handsome.

The Lego Batman/JL and Marvel games are both really good representations of more comicy versions of the characters while also being funny and accessible. I especially liked the first Lego Marvel and Lego Batman 2
Arkham Origins is very underrated imo. It had some of my favourite story moments and music in the whole Arkham series.
If you’re talking about the “definitive” Batman game, then it’s Arkham Knight regardless of personal preference. In that game you can do everything Batman can, while openly exploring Gotham City with gorgeous graphics, & full access to all of his gadgets & tools, including the Batmobile (with the joker’s presence everywhere to boot)

@@MrDash711 i guess so but quests with batmobile were plain annoying and didnt add much to the game. Arkham Asylum is my favourite but i love every arkham game beside arkham knight. Im looking forward to next one, I hope it will be batman beyond theme

I still remember those Raimi Spider-Man games for the GameCube.... so much fun.
For my money, if we are talking a great Wolverine game; X2: Wolverines Revenge! A mix of stealth and group combat. The animations are amazing, the boss fights are fantastic and the voice cast is incredible. (Stan Lee's favorite descriptors: amazing, fantastic, incredible)
Mark Hamill himself plays Logan!! It's worth a play, although it does get very, very hard towards the end.

Lego Marvel Superheroes is just the best game for X-men, Avengers, Spider-man, and the fantastic four. Deadpool in LMS1 is better than his own game.

Xmen 2 Clone Wars. We probably never beat the game. It was tough.
aaaand I just watched a 47 minute flawless speedrun of it.
X-Men: Mutant academy 2 were also great. It had Spider-Man as a bonus character to tie in with the PS1 Spider-Man 2, as well as Xavier, possibly the only wheelchair bound character in a fighting game?
That Hulk game idea where they play with your expectations throughout only to reveal that Bruce Banner hadn’t even been hit with the gamma bomb yet might actually do more to make Banner an intriguing character than any of the movies have.
When talking about Spider-man video games, it should remain tradition that the narrator or editor put in that clip of Spidey eating shit and dying
The Scott Pilgrim game needs to make a comeback. In the comments of one of his tenth anniversary posts, Edgar Wright confirmed they're in talks to re-release the game. Id love to see it on Switch. I think that's the perfect platform for it

I know it's a joke, but straight-up copying a few ideas from Persona might be one of the best ways to faithfully adapt the storytelling sensibilities of the classic X-Men comics, what with their soap operatics, slice-of-life interludes, and soap operatic shenanigans.
i said soap operatics twice, I just realized, but its important enough to the identity of Claremont-era X-Men that it probably bears repeating

Spider-Man vs The Kingpin Sega CD is one of my all-time favorite Spider-Man games. It was one of the first to play with an open-world concept in an earlier platform.

Neversoft's Spiderman for the ps1 was my first best game i've ever played when i was a child. I loved it because of replay values, secrets to discover, unlockable spidey costume that each one of them has special abilities such as you can become invisible of you use the 2099 spidey costume or Symbiote outfit to get infinite web ammo or other that you can shoot just fire webs. This game was awesome and i'm glad that Insomniac's spidey game for the ps4 made that feature but independently, of course and that's why we want more this more than cosmectic costumes unlike the other cash grab games.
So yeah, i like it.

Captain America and the Avengers was a really fun arcade game back in the day. Right up there with TMNT, the Simpsons, and X-Men. Maybe not quite that upper tier, but damn close.
I still play the Ninja Turtle game whenever I can. The cabinet is still in the lobby of the cinema I go to. It used to be in another cinema, operated by the same people, when I was a kid. I'd make sure mum got us there early so I could have a minimum of 20 minutes play before the movie.

The best are Batman Arkham. Other amazing games Spider-Man PS4, Injustice, LEGO games, Captain America Super Soldier. Out of this world hyped for Marvel’s Avengers! Also can’t wait for Miles Morales, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and the new Batman game. We need an amazing AAA Justice League story game.
In Spiderman PS4, you can literally webswing by holding down R2 and pushing forward on the thumb stick. I'm 100% serious. That is unforgivable

all you need is the spiderman ps4 spidey sense and then the rest batman Arkham games but with a daredevil story then done
Bear Falcon I think the grapple system or detective vision would work but it would need a more involved combat system than the simple hit/ counter free flow style, it gets repetitive and easy pretty quickly. I’ve really only played Odyssey and I think the free running travel would work with DD also. The regular hack and slash would fit with tmnt tho
@@munohlow To be fair, I think there's enough combat variations and enemy types in Arkham City and Knight for the combat to still be interesting. It does get a bit repetitive but still really fun imo.

There is this plataform game from the Cartoon Network website almost 20 years ago about the Batman Beyond animated series. I used to stay awake all night playing and replaying it.
X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse was incredible. Was more RPG-y than the Ultimate Alliance games, had the Brotherhood of Evil working with the X-Men, a very fun comic booky story, and defined Apocalypse for me as a child. Easily my favorite X-Men game. Scarlet Witch, Toad, Sunfire, Iceman, Bishop, Juggernaut, Magneto, and Gambit were some of my go-tos.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2 were some of the best games ever. With a large cast of characters, bonuses for building specific teams according to comic book canon, drop in and out co-op, and Alliance 2's story was Civil War years before the movies got to that point. On low difficulty it was a button masher you could get mom to play for a bit, cranked up it took actual teamwork to survive. All the characters felt different and the array of powers felt appropriate for each one. I have countless hours into both of those titles and would throw money at a third installment.

I can’t believe you didn’t mention my favourite video games! Or at least the video games I have for wii and GameCube. You did mention origins of Wolverine and the Hulk, but my favourite Spider-Man game was the 1st Toby McGuire one for GameCube. I’ve also played the 3rd movie on wii and I have a really old GameBoy one that only uses green shades for some reason.
