    "if you keep it red I can screw him" into playing double red eights is definitely one of my favorite Dumbdog moments of recent memory. Fantastic

    "Baycon could do the funniest thing ever." INSTANTLY plays the exact same single card Dumbdog has. I swear streamers are manipulating space-time.

    • @SoulSaege
      @SoulSaege 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      It's because everyone had so few cards. The points at the end are based on the cards remaining in other players' hands. The more cards, the more points. I think wilds, draw twos and draw fours also cause it to go higher too

    Butker didn’t say that women belong in the kitchen, he said that pursuing an individual career was less fulfilling than building a family.
    I don’t care what your politics are, I’m just correcting the record.
    Also thumbs upped for trash talking Destiny.

      yeah its not really important to know the exact sexist words in a casual conversation but i mean its alright (no disrespect)

      @@spoiledbleach I just have a hard line to draw against misinformation and disinformation.

    • @MsLWinter
      @MsLWinter 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      There is a difference between misinformation/disinformation and paraphrasing. By claiming the use of paraphrasing is misinformation or disinformation, you're spreading misinformation ABOUT misinformation, which makes it incredibly difficult to actually talk about subjects in a remotely reasonable manner. This is the exact shield used by people when they are caught saying things and get called out on it. 'That's not exactly what was said' becomes a catch-all to remove blame for any underlying problems because it can simply be claimed that any change to the exact wording makes it suddenly a full lie, which breaks a fundamental usage of language. If you can't change the literal wording of an idea, statement, or intention you lose the fundamental ability to explain meaning beyond trading dictionary definitions. Sentences are not the sum of their literal words.
      Paraphrasing is taking the essential argument, in this case that 'women might enjoy being homemakers and not working an actual job' (I'm being nice for the sake of argument; I doubt the actual sentiment was quite so gracious), from someone and putting it in your own voice or words while keeping the intent the same. The core idea behind saying 'Women belong in the kitchen' is the same intent and meaning as '[Women] pursuing an individual career is less fulfilling than building a family'.
      Disinformation is meant to mislead on purpose. Misquoting or paraphrasing someone while keeping the intent intact wouldn't be misinformation since it isn't changing the core of the intent. Misinformation would be something like making the claim that it was said that men should beat their wives if they don't stay at home. Not only is that literally false, it's also not the intent behind the statement he actually made. Regardless of any misogyny in what was actually said, it didn't reach that extent and presenting it as if it did would be misinformation.
      It should be fairly obvious that Apollo's statement of what was said was not meant to be a direct quote--And that to any degree it amplifies the sense of misogynist intent, that is added as Apollo's 'voice' in the paraphrasing. That is his opinion on the original statement made communicated through his rephrasing, and therefore is subjective in nature rather than a statement of fact.

      And you’ve deliberately not mentioned he only said it was more rewarding for women to downplay how incredibly sexist he was being. He also went into further detail with what he said women should do instead of working. You’re not fooling anyone by saying you’re unbiased and just wanting to be accurate, while you’re only telling half the story

    • @Dallows65
      @Dallows65 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@MsLWinter and also @georgeharris9153 :
      The supreme irony of being lectured about semantics by a leftist is not lost on me, but must be incomprehensible for you to have put so much words into the comment. The claim that Butker thinks women belong in the kitchen or is some form of ultra misogynist is conclusively disinformation, and while people might be misinformed on the matter, they are still spreading disinformation by parroting what they were told as instructed.
      I took the time to listen to the entirety of Butker's speech and found it to blatant only in its honesty, especially since he equally points to both men and women as necessary components in marriage and building a family. A fairly standard Catholic viewpoint overall.
      And, specifically for george, How exactly was he being sexist? Especially since every breath in which his wife was mentioned was gilded with praise for her, I find the accusation of sexism to be rather unfounded.
