I read about someone else's hinge cracking and thought I was lucky since I'd had mine for months without it happening. Within a couple of days of that, though, one yellow segment on the hinge pretty much disintegrated in front of me. Still a great toy, though!

Checking these out because of the card game actually! It opened me up to a whole new world and I had to check out my favorite toy reviewer to see if there was any word on them. This video gets +1 attack on the like button from me!
This is the one toy I absolutely had to have. He looks fantastic sitting next to Wolfang, Fuzor Silverbolt, and Cybertron Snarl.
As someone who's had a Wolfwire canopy-joint-crack myself, I can assure those who are concerned by this that, at least in my case, it has not affected the toy at all. I believe this is due to the softer, translucent red plastic also attaching to the pin and being far less likely to break. All that changes is that the part may flop around a bit if you leave it loose, but it pegs in in both modes so this isn't really a problem.
I really, REALLY want a voyager Snapdragon, it *enfuriates* me that in a line where the voyagers are *_SPECIFICALLY_* triple changing Headmasters they have NOT given us the Horrorcons -_-

I got this on a whim and found it an awesome Transformer, headmaster or not. I love how the wolf form and robot mode just work, sharing a lean and nasty melee feel. This guy may not be a space samurai like Drift or Windblade, but he feels like that bandit in a canyon who leaps from the rocks and stabs a fool.
I hope so too Van. Just make the Horror-con voyagers and I'll be giddy.
I get a Zoids vibe from this guy when the cannon is on his back in beast mode.
Ah, I'm not alone. I never even saw the series, but having only seen a few pictures, Command Wolf came to mind at Weirdwolf's gun-doggin'.
The hinges on my Weirdwolf's cockpit snapped off right out of the box , so yeah , your mileage might vary.
I guess it's kinda nice to know that I'm not alone with the cockpit hinge breaking for literally no reason, but it's good to know yours didn't! I got mine right when they came out so hopefully for current/future runs they've corrected that. Great review man! But I gotta give the vid a 2/10 because this isn't an early Chinese factory sample.
That cockpit hatch being prone to breaking shows why TJOmega doesn't like load-bearing clear plastic on TF toys.
This would actually make a good cheetor if they changed some things
I might buy this figure just for his wolf mode, and if I do I'll just super glue his cockpit shut as to never need to worry about it breaking
if you don't want the hinges to deteriorate cut the tab off. it doesn't need it since it stays closed.
Yeah I went thru 2 of this mold before settling with the Takara Weirdwolf which ALSO has that QC issue. I gave up & lived with it. However, that one hinge seems to have relieved a lot of friction that caused the cracking & makes the hinge rotate smoothly. Buyer beware

I want this guy quite a bit but that cockpit design flaw scares me, even the Legends version has it apparently. There is a reissue of Wolfwire coming in the Wave 5 Deluxe case so I'm hoping this one will fix the cockpit breaking problems.
To me this is the best TR figure so far released. If I had to decide to get only one TR figure it would be him or maybe Alpha Trion :D

My Wolfwire's yellow cockpit hinges cracked too... but not the pink one so it can still work... still annoying.
this wolfwire toy was so hard for me to find but i love it and wish i could find another because the beast mode scream zoids and i want to make a custom zoids wolfwire toy xD

At this point I'm actually surprised the third parties (at retail at least) do so little with Transformer's gimmicked lines. Bodies for the loose titan masters sounds like an easy go to.
shadowscribe It takes a good while to get a toy designed, manufactured and shipped, sometimes multiple years. They might still be on the way.
I've never seen this guy or Mindwipe in stores.

how to prevent the cockpit hinge cracking? or is just luck?
It's just luck. I've had one segment of the yellow plastic crack. It didn't catch on anything, nothing hit it. I just opened the cockpit and it just fell away in a couple of pieces. Not even an audible crack. The red soft plastic will stay, though, so the toy is still functional even if all the yellow hinges break off. I have a feeling that intact Wolfwires will be like gold in ten years, though.

I've never understood why Head Masters get a pass on being called Parts Formers.
In my opinion they are the most egregious possible example, and as a result nothing about them appeals to me at all. When will this craptastic line end.

Josh Jackson They'll make a new mold because even Hasbro knows that Metroplex isn't similar to Scorponok in any way, shape or form. They made a new sculpt for Trypticon so they will do the same for Scorponok.
