I loved seeing him wrestling with either the Road Warriors or Dusty Rhodes or all together as they did in Los Angeles at The Great American Bash the greatest steel cage match I've ever seen with the four horsemen. Amazing. I was hoping to see the Road Warriors keeping their shoulder pads on with the spike using them to fall on the four horsemen with .
I mean, how incredible was that? Can't wait to see this interview in it's entirety.
I really don't want to bash today's wrestling entertainment but, that was and always will be the the greatest entertainment of all times. I loved the dream and Nikita. Please keep the videos coming.

The 80's was pure grit. I remember Harley Race was one of the toughest wrestlers, Terry & Dory Funk, Terry Bam Bam Gordy, Dusty Rhodes, Buzz Sawyer, Dic Murdoch, JYD ( Mid South JYD not that WWF clown he turned into ) Butch Reed ( Mid South ) Wildcat Wendle Cooly, Jerry the King Lawler & Austin Idol feuds. The Ron Garvin vs Jake the snake Roberts feuds. List goes on.

I will always think of Nikita as the thorn in Sting's side that he was in the early 90's. I DESPISED him BIG TIME because of how much I loved Sting back then. Job well done Nikita! LOL!

He's not Russian? What an actor! He did a good job fooling the world. He was one of my favorites! Him & his team of Russians helped move wrestling. My favorite match was N.W.A., the 6 man tag team: The Russians vs Dusty Rhodes & the Road Warriors. One of the classic matches ever!; the best!!
I remember the arm wrestling match they showed on TV. It came off as hard to believe that Dusty won.
Somehow I knew Nikitas real voice wasn't the one he used when he wrestled! Just like Ivan Koloff's voice.
Guy leaves the business for a bit to take care of his dying wife. ALWAYS getting a drink or a meal from me. What a wonderful man.

I .did not realize at the time that nikita was not Russian so i didn't like him because my favorite was rick flare and the horsemen truly a great time for us wrestling fans .not a fan anymore but as a Christian I am so blessed to hear your testimony brother god bless you with christ we can even love nikita koloff. I miss Ivan too. Glad that he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and personal Savior before passing. May his soul continue to rest in perfect peace in the Lord. Amen.

Around this time the Soviet union was pretty closed off . You didnt see eastern European athletes start defecting to North America until the very late 80s until early 90s.
