Big Dust is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, dad always thought the world of him even tho dad was a big time heel fan, Dusty knew how to put on a show.
I really don't want to bash today's wrestling entertainment but, that was and always will be the the greatest entertainment of all times. I loved the dream and Nikita. Please keep the videos coming.
The 80's was pure grit. I remember Harley Race was one of the toughest wrestlers, Terry & Dory Funk, Terry Bam Bam Gordy, Dusty Rhodes, Buzz Sawyer, Dic Murdoch, JYD ( Mid South JYD not that WWF clown he turned into ) Butch Reed ( Mid South ) Wildcat Wendle Cooly, Jerry the King Lawler & Austin Idol feuds. The Ron Garvin vs Jake the snake Roberts feuds. List goes on.
"Wildcat" Wendell Cooley, part of the original “Stud Stable.” Now there’s the name of a guy that I haven’t thought about in DECADES, man. Thanks for the crazy blast from the way-back machine... 😀
I loved seeing him wrestling with either the Road Warriors or Dusty Rhodes or all together as they did in Los Angeles at The Great American Bash the greatest steel cage match I've ever seen with the four horsemen. Amazing. I was hoping to see the Road Warriors keeping their shoulder pads on with the spike using them to fall on the four horsemen with .
I LOVE THIS CHANNEL! Devon “The Hannibal” is a great man of talent who recognizes and shares with the younger generation of today the “Gods” of wrestling to show how important Wrestling was to our country and what these men went through Mentally and Physically to get us this TREMENDOUS ENTERTAINMENT that crossed all levels of society!
I will always think of Nikita as the thorn in Sting's side that he was in the early 90's. I DESPISED him BIG TIME because of how much I loved Sting back then. Job well done Nikita! LOL!
He's not Russian? What an actor! He did a good job fooling the world. He was one of my favorites! Him & his team of Russians helped move wrestling. My favorite match was N.W.A., the 6 man tag team: The Russians vs Dusty Rhodes & the Road Warriors. One of the classic matches ever!; the best!!
There are few wrestlers and bookers who no one has a bad thing to say about like Dusty Rhodes. There’s only one American Dream baby and good to hear from Nikola his character was groundbreaking
Missed Dusty and Nikita Koloff as The Superpowers and Tag Team Champions...., Hopefully Nikita will hook up one day with Cody and Dustin on the AEW Team!!!
I .did not realize at the time that nikita was not Russian so i didn't like him because my favorite was rick flare and the horsemen truly a great time for us wrestling fans .not a fan anymore but as a Christian I am so blessed to hear your testimony brother god bless you with christ we can even love nikita koloff. Thank God for Nikita’s life. I miss those early 80s when he and Ivan were at their peak. I miss Ivan too. Glad that he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and personal Savior before passing. May his soul continue to rest in perfect peace in the Lord. Amen. You guys made the 80s great time for me and millions of people all around the world. God bless you all.
Vince and the WWWF made Dusty a scripted clown. I hate them for THAT! They did Dusty so wrong! They dressed him like a clown in those yellow polka dots and black. Disgraceful!
Around this time the Soviet union was pretty closed off . You didnt see eastern European athletes start defecting to North America until the very late 80s until early 90s.
I could listen to Nikita talk all day. What a great story teller!👍
Nikita was my favorite wrestler growing up. Nikita, Dusty and the Road Warriors... The Super Powers
There have been many partners but there has only been one team that had Superpartners.
I miss these days so much. Wrestling at its peak, so glad it's being spoken of here on TH-cam countless podcast with the legends.

I can't say thank you enough for putting these interviews on here, big Nikita was, is and always will be my favorite wrestler.
Thank you!!!!
When he debuted with “Uncle Ivan” and started feuding with Magnum, he had more heat than anyone I’ve ever seen, other than The Freebirds in Texas.
Big Dust is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, dad always thought the world of him even tho dad was a big time heel fan, Dusty knew how to put on a show.

So awesome to hear him talk about Dusty. You can hear the admiration
I mean, how incredible was that? Can't wait to see this interview in it's entirety.

That almost brought a tear. Great story!!
I watched the NWA religiously as a young kid. Thanks for all the memories!
Hearing Nikita taking like this brings tears to my eyes, and the memories!!!!! THE GREATEST ERA EVER!!!
I will always think of Nikita as the thorn in Sting's side that he was in the early 90's. I DESPISED him BIG TIME because of how much I loved Sting back then. Job well done Nikita! LOL!
Nikita is a class act and pretty cool guy
Man this was my guy back in the day
I remember when Nikita laid out interviewer David Crockett during a promo with Ivan Koloff
Such a great story and I always love it when wrestlers do a Dusty Rhodes impersonation
Awesome Memories
Touching words from Nikita
My favorite wrestler in the late 80's by far. Nikita!!!!
Guy leaves the business for a bit to take care of his dying wife. ALWAYS getting a drink or a meal from me. What a wonderful man.
His career was never the same after she died.
Nikita should be in the hall of fame!
rest in peace dusty
Nikita, always one of my favorites.
Love this guy. That's a real man right there.
Somehow I knew Nikitas real voice wasn't the one he used when he wrestled! Just like Ivan Koloff's voice.
I remember the arm wrestling match they showed on TV. It came off as hard to believe that Dusty won.
Great guy and storyteller 😎👍
Amen
There are few wrestlers and bookers who no one has a bad thing to say about like Dusty Rhodes. There’s only one American Dream baby and good to hear from Nikola his character was groundbreaking
I do remember the born of the Super Power American Dream Dusty Rhodes and Russian Night Mare Nitika Koloff in 86 year.
Dusty was probably paranoid that Nikita was talking shit about him in his book, so he felt compelled to read it immediately
Super power 是我的梦幻组合.战无不胜,我年轻的回忆!
Dusty was the greatest in the south Tampa Atlanta he was a god in the 70 s and 80s
Missed Dusty and Nikita Koloff as The Superpowers and Tag Team Champions...., Hopefully Nikita will hook up one day with Cody and Dustin on the AEW Team!!!
Man that would be totally awesome! We can hope 😁
Dusty driving a red convertible Mercedes. That's not a common man! That's like Flair!!
Him in Flair always tried to 1 up eachother. With women, cars, fur coats, in the ring
Looks like his hard times weren't as bad as he claimed...
Loved Nikita so honest
His Dusty accent is so good.
Duthy Roaades...
Maguh Teeyaayyyy...
Dusty is a legend baby!
Funny how it sounds that in the ring they were tairing themselves out while behind the curtains they were the best off friends the show must go on.
What a witness for Christ, he really was, praise the Lord for nikiti😇
Great times tks nikita
God Bless you Nikita
@Jim Johnson the Russian bear was Ivan Koloff.
I was probably 13 or so when this guy broke on the scene with Nikita Koloff. Until a few yrs ago, I actually thought he was actually Russian, lol.
I never really considered that Nikita wasn't actually Russian! 😆
I hope and pray Dusty gave his life to the Lord
There is always that one
war games!
I hope you asked Blackjack Mulligan how that beef cattle venture went between him & Dusty
The Super Powers surprise the 4 Horsemen in 86 year.
3:50
LOL
2:16
3:48
I see Nikita still fine
I'd like to see Nikita manage Cody
If you want to know how a real man sounds, acts and behaves, there you go.
If not for Dusty the horsemen never happen.
I'm so stupid that I thought he was really Russian
Vince and the WWWF made Dusty a scripted clown. I hate them for THAT!
They did Dusty so wrong! They dressed him like a clown in those yellow polka dots and black. Disgraceful!
unpopular opinion: Nakita has the look and the gimmick but wasn't much of a worker
WTF...he’s not Russian?! lol
Srly, I thought he was , the only real one. So there were zero Russians in wrestling ?
Around this time the Soviet union was pretty closed off . You didnt see eastern European athletes start defecting to North America until the very late 80s until early 90s.
Goddamn they sold it.
Great gimmicks,great acting too.
Stop blaspheming God=Lord Jesus Christ's name. He can d. n anyone to hell for it later that keeps doing it.
Nikita was an awesome presence in the ring, but looking back on his gimmick Russian accent, it was awful 😆😆
What great man the Nightmare is God bless you brother.. He and Flash are about the only ones left from the Minnesota wreaking crew
