    If you haven't heard of the Dusy Ershim trail yet, you will soon. Many believe this is the newest hardest multiday off-road trip you can do today. The trail is comprised of both overland and rock crawling. If you ask someone that has recently done the Rubicon, they will say this trail is about 3-6 times harder. The Dusy-Ershim offers some of the hardest wheeling around, from mile long rocky hill climbs, to very technical obstacles, to some of the most amazing camping & fishing you have ever done in your life. The views have something to be said about too. Just be warned, this isn't an easy trip, even the most built rigs will leave this trail with mechanical failure. Be prepared, because body damage is almost guaranteed, even for the best drivers. If you are up to the challenge, expect the trip to take you in the range of 3-5 days.

      @@Trailsoffroad A few call it Whale Rock, most call it Divorce Rock. It’s the blind right turn after Ershim Lake if you’re going northbound. You come out straddling the rock, then turn right and go down. The driver can’t see where he or she is going.

    Awesome video sir. Im looking for a good spot to camp one night and was wondering if you saw any spot to tuck away in on the top of Chicken Rock? never been there before and arriving at night... do you have any suggestions for that area with a good view?

    • @Trailsoffroad
      @Trailsoffroad  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are a lot of large rocks at the bottom of Chicken Rock you have to get over which could easily make a bad day for someone. Once up there, there is a lot of space if you want to try and camp up there.
      you can sort of see the rocks at 2:28. They are large enough where sliders are required to get over them.

    I’ve got a Rubicon on 37’s and a 3.5 inch lift, regeared, think I’ll have issues with this awesome trail?

    • @Trailsoffroad
      @Trailsoffroad  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Truth is yes... I think everyone has some issues. But with that said, that is the trail. It is 33 miles of rock crawling. Things are going to fail. Now does your vehicle sound like it is built to do it, Yes. Just make sure you have tools and someone with a way to weld. This is also a trail where driver skills shine. Everytime we have done this trip, we had to do trail repairs. Usually minor, but I have seen some major issues with other groups. It is just one of those trails. But still my favorite trail of all times hands down. Check out our site for more details, link is below.

      It is not as much as tire size, but more about drivers skill in most . I would say you will want at least 35"s to make life a bit easier and quicker. But you can find more details on our webpage at: www.trailsoffroad.com/trails/1055-dusyershim-trail

    • @Trailsoffroad
      @Trailsoffroad  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not really, check out our trail guide at the link above in the video description. Usually we work out a deal with someone in town like Shaver Lake Hotel to park our trailers there. Other places people use is the marina.
      But note, it is a heavy snow year so the odds of the trail opening Aug 1 is very low.
