My friend own the Mercedes Benz 300se 1993/94 cbu model. And one thing I can say, Mercedes really good at making car for a long term ownership!
Driven the same model for past 2 years. Personally i find it is a masterpiece. S280 W220 other than electrical issue the car is great
How are the running (maintenance) costs on this car? I really really like it and want to go for it but I'm worried about the breakage and running costs. Interested in S350 wouldn't mind going for one that's done 180k km at worst.
I have an S320 CDI long wheel, the car has the best fuel economy and even though it lacks performance it still reliable
It's really a masterpiece. Owned the same car for 4 years.. spend a fortune servicing.. but its all quality, smoothness and power drive..
And the GTR that you reviewed appearing in this video is so coincidental. Imagine you are beside him at the red light 😆

My father drives an S300 Mercedes for 8 years next week his changing his car to E200 Mercedes Avantgarde NEW the 2018 version if I'm not wrong
Airmatic for w221 is around 1.5k sgd in Malaysia 4 piece original. For jaguar xj 350 it cost more

Bang, what do you use to film yourself in the car? Is it the same device as the rest of the footage?
Usually I use a GoPro inside + digicam for outside. For this video it’s a GoPro both inside and out

I am using an aftermarket airmatic from china, i guess the quality are the same. Clocking at 4 years now. Around rm1200 each.

Should have tested the rear seats while it was on the move. Somehow wasted for a S class review compared to some other reviews. But nonetheless, very well thought out

generally reliable but expensive to replace when they wear out
@@CarLifeSG bear in mind there are some great aftermarket options now. Bilstein make a fantastic air strut for these cars less than 1k each, plus fitting.

the air suspension is very expensive if it fails. reliability wise you'll get different opinions from different people, but from speaking to owners there are things that fail here and there, but just bear in mind this is an old car with alot of electronics on board

May I know what is the fuel consumption like?
Mine sits at around 7L/100km highway driving, 12L/100km city driving.

its a NA engine. can remap but not sure about the gains though

Singapore : 160000 usd.
US : 60000 usd.
India : 80000 usd.

Length of the car is longer on L version. L alone stands for Long
2006? This looks newer than that. I remembered the 2006 model looked different. The one in the video looks more like 2013
From 2006-2013 it’s the same generation (W221)
@@CarLifeSG Yes. But the one in the video is W221 facelift.
@@CarLifeSG according to SGcarmart and Wiki, the W221was launched in 2007 facelifted in 2009 and Discontinued in 2013. So the one you reviewed is definitely newer than 2006. Unless this was a facelift conversion

External difference if I'm not wrong only the mirrors and brake lights
