I actually like this endshow more than the previous years. Even though the centerpiece looks more like a moth than a dragon I think it is still great because it looks more a like a work of art and it is a feature of the endshow rather than just being a housing for the lights and fireworks. The two dragons that are the centerpiece in the Netherlands look great during the daytime but for the endshow you can't really see them and it just looks like a regular stage. This moth lights up in a way which gives itself life and in my opinion it is the best endshow ever. I like the choice of music as well. It tapped into a variety of emotions other than the standard "fuck yeah" energy that we experienced throughout the day. The first song was beautiful and chill. The second song made me feel like a happy dog. The third song was emotionally charged sadness. The forth was almost tribal. And the last was just awe inspiring. Fuck the haters this year was great!
It was slower and different, I didn't mind it when I was there. Still was amazing to watch. The stage apparently was meant to be a phoenix rather than a moth looking dragon. A lot of the time the stage will either match a song in the endshow or the anthem. Like in 2015 the stage was a haunted house and fit into "A storm is coming" 2014 tied into "Unleash the beast" 2013 matched "Robot Rock" 2012 fit into "Dragonborn" A lot of the time the stage seems to match into a random song rather than the anthem but it can be both. This year I am unsure why they chose a phoenix though (maybe because we had a dragon in 2012).
i feel like q-dance did another aproach to the way they do the endshow. Visually looks amazing but somehow i dont feel the energy. Was some sort of chill and watch endshow. But if they wanted to make something different props for the try.
I say that for the European peeps that never been to Asutralia, cause i'm from France and i didnt know that, so i was kind of glad to have that moment of intense sound, before dancing till i couldnt anymore :)
All about that emotional music, makes the q dance event plug with purposeful awkward timing stick in your head, maybe you'll take your kids one day. That's what they're aiming for.

There was another hour of party after the show, thats why it was more a Calm one and people threw last forces on more banging music afterwords :)
