This is the only wet can food my Leo will eat & I tried everything to switch him to try other high brands... didn’t work. First he liked all flavors but as time went on he stopped eating everything but just two flavors which is “chicken frik a zee” & “fowl bowl.” Recently I tried getting him on Hills renal Rx can food. He refused of course. I’m just glad I got him eating wet food at all... despite he’s many health issues, with all the supplements he takes, he does super well.
Thanks! I agree about serving seafood only occasionally. During this series of taste-testing for the cats the last couple of weeks, they have eaten more seafood than I would normally feed them during that time-frame. But, our last installment, which they will begin taste-testing tonight, is poultry based and will be fish free.
Oh I love that they swapped bowls and they were fine with it!! The names of the food are so cute that I would be tempted to buy just for that haha! Great review!
Thank you so much! They actually swap bowls all the time; they each think that the grass is always greener on the other side. It happens whenever Jericho doesn't eat everything that is in her bowl immediately. Sometimes she walks away because she's not fond of what she's eating, and sometimes she will take a potty break about half way through eating. When she walks away from her bowl I will always sit it down on the floor. Thunder will usually switch to her bowl when I do that, and when she comes back into the room she will finish his bowl. It is quite comical. But sometimes she will leave her bowl specifically to eat out of Thunder's bowl, even though they are eating the same thing. I just don't usually show that on video, in order to keep the videos so that they won't be too long. But when she completely finishes her bowl in one sitting I know that she especially loves it. Regarding the names of this food, yeah, I got a kick out of Lamb Burgini. The funny thing is that when I was recording the opening for the video and I was reading all of the names of the food in this variety pack, I couldn't figure out the name, and why they had the "er" crossed out of the word "Burger" and wrote in the letters "ini" at the end. At first I was trying to pronounce it with a French emphasis, but I wasn't sure if that was right, so I just said "Lamb Burger." About 30 minutes later it hit me that it was a play on the name of the car, the Lamborghini. 😄

You are right about the Lamb burger though the tuna is strong smelling. I don't get why they put tuna in it or the salmon. I feel it should be what the label says it is but it is all good food regardless. I am going to stick with the chicken fricka zee for Remy. I'm glad to see Jericho and Thunder liked all of these even though Jericho thinks Thunder got something different than her lol.
Yes, feeding them on an elevated/raised surface aids in their digestion and is more comfortable for them. I just switched my cats over to this canned food. Yes, it’s expensive, but so are vet billsI’ve yet to open a flavor they won’t eat. Based on what I’ve read, best to stay away from fish, especially salmon, with its high mercury levels and the risk for male cats having urinary issues. I buy the fish flavors, but only feed them that one once a week or so. I’ve also noticed a litter box difference....they are producing less waste!! Always a plus, no? Now the dry food - that’s a little more of an issue. My male, who was a stray for the first year of his life, will eat anything. Isabel, on the other hand, is fussier. I’ve tried several of the high quality brands, and she is not interested. For now I’m mixing the good dry food with her old brand, hoping I will gradually get her to eat it.

A few years ago I used to get the Pretty In Pink Weruva Trulux for Jericho all the time, and she absolutely loved it. Then she just all of a sudden, after several months of loving it, just refused to eat it. She didn't like any of the other Trulux flavors at that time. I want to get it for her again, but it is so expensive, I don't want to buy an entire case if she's not going to eat it. I have come to the conclusion that Thunder will eat anything. ☺
I have also found that to be true for Charlie. At times, he wants something else. Variety! So, when he gets bored, I switch him over to Royal Canin for a few days, then he is like "OK, I want the good stuff again!" Try 1 tin of Grandma's Chicken Soup or Quick 'N Quirky on Jericho and let me know if she loves it. I think she might!
Why do they Lamb with Fish?
