    Ohhh it now makes sense why you used a seat quick release clamp for that G29 mod video of yours. I was looking for tips on putting back a seat post and clicked on this vid. I love watching your sim racing mods yo!

    I mount the other way around. Is there a right way to do it?

    Why change to allon key from quick release???

      It makes it less convenient for thieves to steal. I've done the same with my bike, just with a double bolt clamp.

      You can use a torque wrench, so you dont over tighten it.

    Your seat post clamps don’t mount this easily. They’re the worst I’ve ever dealt with in 30 years of riding

      I know I just spent $30 on a nukeproof one waited 3 weeks for it and it's so hard to put on now I can't even put my old one back on

    i hope he know that's on backward

    • @helomyfren6195
      @helomyfren6195 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      its not backwards cause the opening is on the front not on the back

    • @icklemon1678

      @@helomyfren6195 same problem I have , feel like I look stupid but my opening is on the front of the frame tube! Surely it will still work it you flip it round the "right" way so it's on the back , as long the clam is already a snug fit on the frame tube?

      Apparently not because he didn’t realize the quick release was on backwards. Can’t fix stupid.

    Mines a 31.6, would a 31.8 be ok

      @Startrooper5555 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes.

    • @christopherroldan3197
      @christopherroldan3197 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      No, you should use 34.9 collar for 31.6 seatpost

    • @jimbojet8728
      @jimbojet8728 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sam Oates yes. But the collar must fit around the bike tube the seat post is narrower than that. A QR via phone is a little more forgiving sizewise but you should try to measure the tube diameter.

    • @jimbojet8728
      @jimbojet8728 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sam Oates yes. The rule is to buy a clamp 4mm larger than your seat post. Never fails!

    What the name of the tool you use

  • @88997799
    @88997799 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Jesus Christ… you even had the quick release seat clamp on backwards. Yet installed new one 180° backwards…. Just fyi Einstein the lugs go to the back of the seat post or closest to the rear tire. Not facing forward as you had/have it now!… 🤤🤤

      This although not visually pleasing it is technically correct. Aluminum frame you mount the gap on the clamp to the gap on the frame.
