Making Patriotic Magnetic Bottle Openers out of Pine

  • I recently built a couple patriotic magnetic bottle openers out of pine for a client. For this build I used my Dewalt compound miter saw, my Delta table saw, my Dewalt with a forstner bit, a bunch of glue, and my Dewalt biscuit joiner.
    This was a fun little build. All the hardware for the build was purchased on Amazon.

    Nice job. I was particularly impressed on how you used the template to align the stars. That sold my issue for me making flags. I like glued on start other than painted or engraved. I subscribed and looking forward to future videos.

    Make a couple templates 1 for the front n 1 for the back n you wouldn't have to measure as much n you could make more faster

      I was using long screws to mount mine. Would love to know what this is here and how well it holds up.

    What kind of hangers are on the back to attach to the wall?

      I’ve used both a keyhole bit on my CNC and a metal keyhole bracket that screws to the back.

      @@PuddlePirateProjects thank you for the info, I have a keyhole bit already from when I made wall candle holders and I will look into those other metal hangers as well.
      I have been making higher ticket items, but in our current economy I've been branching off and making smaller items to sell quicker

    Are you using the biscuits for strength or alignment? It's the first I've seen using them so I wonder if it's overkill for strength, or not enough on the other videos?!

      Sorry, I didn’t think anyone would want to know. The strips are 1.5” wide and 16” long.
