I love how Gold's got three sets of sprites to distinguish his emotions throughout the song. The first set displays pure distress, as Gold is sinking into the last stretch of life he's got left. The second set gives the feelings of Gold's agony from his life fading away. The last set implies his depressions, his last moments before losing his life to the cold.

It breaks my heart seeing him like that. I honestly prefer Snow on Mt. Silver instead of Lost Silver, because of the way the character suffers. With Lost Silver, at least the protagonist is already dead. But with Snow on Mt. Silver, the main character is still alive. I wouldn't be surprised if he's begging for death. I would too if this was my fate.
Wow, thanks, I didn't know that Gold's body was the Unown's puppet. I still like Snow on Mt. Silver, though. I mean, Blake (or Gold) experiences endless pain from frostbite, which is extremely lethal to the body. I like the details on his hand, showing the black on the fingers.

I think that in this iteration, we're actually playing as a hallucination.
At the end when he goes back into the darkness it makes me think that he realized he can't be saved, and that he's likely already long gone. So he just descends back into the snow of mount silver, waiting for the sweet release of death.

Love how Gold’s poses are more exaggerated depending on the song’s tune, especially during the typing parts (where it’s hard to focus on Gold) and turning desperate by the end of the song before becoming depressed and saddened expressions of acceptance of his fate.
PS: Love the missing tooth and blackened tips of his fingers. Consequences of the sheer cold and advanced frostbite.

This is depressing as hell but one i love. I love how the gold get more stress doing it before succumbing to the harsh weather. I love the voice, i love the celebi sprite it all great.

I really love how this version of Gold isn't trying actively to beat you or absolutely spasming on the beat, he just looks like he's in immense pain and misery. He basically froze to death on a cold ass mountain, losing limbs and the one thing he feels more than pain is sandness.

Each phase of the animations might means he's getting colder and colder
Fun fact: Many people have described freezing to death as a peaceful experience, While getting to the point of hypothermia is not at all painless, the moments before death are pleasant. People said they felt warm (Ironic) and sleepy. You fall asleep before you feel any pain.
But, I absolutely love the remix and art, holy cow it's all awesome.
The final stage of frostbite is when your fingers become hardened and black to the point where your blood is purplish
I love that he acts like he was just dropped in here and has no idea what's going on, with his first sprites being looking around worriedly, feeling for his missing eye, and staring at his frostbitten hands. Then he starts freaking out and I imagine that's when the pain really starts to set in, before his realization that he'll probably die there
I think this mod happens when Gold is just about to meet Red, but suddenly Boyfriend is in Red’s place. Hints why Gold dies at the end, his journey has ended and why he is confused. He has literally been blinded by success to realise his own downfall and Boyfriend is one stop closer for him to accept life and die

Bro this mans is suffering, missing a eye and leg, his fingers are turning black from the frostbite, skin is pale from the freezing temperatures and yet he is still standing.
Story: Boyfriend and Girlfriend go up mount silver for a hiking trip without worry cause well. Gf has demon powers so yeah and plus their canonically stupid but on their way to the top they find a hiker, barely keeping themselves up. Turns out it was the famous champion, gold. Gold kept begging for help but Bf was like :rap battle me then lol in which gold complied to cause if you had to choose between rap battling a midget or dying from frostbite, which one are you gonna choose? Anyhow during the song, Gold gets so near death he has a fight or flight response, flipping bf the hell out. Gold, realizing the mistake he’s done he just… accepts his demise… as he falls back into the snow when the song ends he can barely move. Unable to get up he laments about all of his mistakes… and as his life slowly fades he sheds one final tear…

Well the Frostbite was in the first update technically, since the Frostbite and hyperthermia was the main reason why he lost his leg and eye
in the story, the brothers name was never stated while his sister was, angie. once she booted up the game, the name that popped up was Blake.

Good gracious they made one of my favorites even better! I love the new emotion they gave gold here. The new rendition of the song is great too don’t get me wrong, but just having everything ranging from “I’m scared and cold please give me a blanket“ to “oh God please help me!!” Absolute work of art

People talking about the sprites but honestly, my main focus is the lack of jumpscares here.
Idk if the uploader disabled them or not but the lack of them actually makes this version better. Having them there would take away from the sad, defeated tone the song has.
Lost in Mount Silver is all about despair, about finding yourself trapped with no way out, being forced to accept the fact that you're doomed. Having a spooky face followed by a loud ass noise pop up mid song would ruin the slow, melancholic pase the song has.
It's one issue I have with game adaptations of the creepypasta. They add in the freaky Pikachu jumpscare, but it serves no purpose. The story is already disturbing and depressing as is, the Pikachu jumpscare is just not needed.

I remember when mount silver first became a mod you could always hear a heartbeat in the background and when you get to the end it starts to slow down until it stops and I always thought that meant that gold’s heart slowly stops as he freezes to death completely

Monochrome connects with me the most in the most due to it being the only song in fnf that scared me call me a baby but the way silver was staring is a phobia of mine and this is a cool mod with containing bits of monochrome while still being original (also plz tell me I'm not the only one who thought lost gold was bf but dead)

Really love how this now feels like it has its own identity instead of being this monochrome redline with lowered instrumentals now it feels the way I wanted it besides him outright yelling he's cold
Mad respect for my man gold for actually fighting the cold for that long without protection.
I like the amount of detail they put into this mod by simply adding the little tint of black at the fingertips showing he's get frostbite forming
I love this version so much! Because unlike some others, while those other versions, and the originals being AMAZING, this version really symbolizes the fact that he’s still (maybe) human! And that he feels and suffers all the same. Amazing mod, amazing update!

The one other thing I could've asked for from this mod would be if, instead of pure blackness, the stage were a fervent snowstorm that actually partly obscures Gold, making it feel like you're both being enveloped by the blizzard

Not going to lie, this almost brought a tear to my eye. The emotion in the sprites and music really make you feel how Silver feels flighting for his life and in the end, it just seems like he gives up trying to survive and just wants his poor pain to be over.

@@spezkko Completely. I had the mentality of “Don’t cry, it’s not real” for a long time but since I myself began writing stories and truly appreciating how good some can be, I’ve learned making people actually feel emotions while experiencing what you’ve created is really important.

This mod turned from a reskin to an actual Monochrome replacement mod.
The end is sad to me, I almost cried at the end.
This thing is so good, I came up with a story. So, in the beginning, he sees bf, and starts grappling with whether or not he’s real. Then in the middle, he starts to think it’s real, and even starts to accept help, but his icy spot has made him so pessimistic that the constant optimism from bf finally convinces him that he’s hallucinating to make himself feel better, then finally accepts death instead of trusting bf.
now combine that with the background and effects from the the high quality MS mod from 4 months ago, make it so when he leaves, he fades to white instead of fading to black.

Man, I would take him home give him a blanket, hot cocoa and a nice warm fire, and if he gets too hot, I would turn the heat down. The reason why is because he’s precious and needs care.

I travel to the Pokémon world and find Gold almost frozen to death atop Mount Silver. I quickly carry him back to safety, where he is warmed up and given an eyepatch to cover up his missing eye and a prosthetic leg. I stay with Gold until he’s finally back to normal. As I am about to leave his hospital room, Gold stops me and says, “Hey Toon Link. Thank you so much for saving me when I was freezing up on Mount Silver. If you hadn’t come to save me, I would’ve frozen to death. You can come visit the Pokémon world anytime you like. Again, *thank you.”*

As Toon Link carried Gold to a warm place Gold started to feel more tired than he previously was. He then realized that he heard perish song. The move perish song means the user and the opponent will both die at a specific amount of time and during the song, perish song was used alot, meaning Gold barely has any time left… As Gold is about to perish he asks Toon Link this… “Please tell my mom I love her…”
