- Back with another tips and tricks video this time for Leona! One of the most simple yet powerful CC heavy tank supports in the game, you can climb easily with her if you know what you're doing. This video hopefully will give you some practical advice on how to play Leona and use her kit in creative ways to climb the ranked ladder!

You can't grind through Gold on NA as only being a leona main ( I have more games leona than anyone on the server ) Accounts T1MMEH (Diamond 2 season 2) XT1MMEH (Gold I) XXT1MMEH (Gold IV now previous Gold II). Literally Over 10 Million experience points master on all accounts. Uninstalled today for second time. Not that she is not strong, but that other champions and itemization are stronger. 2022 has been a train wreck for Leo ever since the W nerf. Junglers / Mid laners are more of an impact on the early game. Scaling ADCs are useless with aggressive leo players. They become even more useless to a top garen with single item hullbreaker. Get off this hampster wheel, she will only help with these tips getting from Bronze to high Gold II. Prove me wrong and do a series Gold IV to Gold I only Leona. Ill put $100 dollars on it you wont get there with screenshot proof solo que.

Just wanted to update you, I just did unranked to Gold 1 on my stream on a fresh account in 12 games with only Leona. Playing against plat players as well.

One of my favorite things to do as a Leona main is to cc the target and then walk while they're stunned to the place they're most likely going to try to escape to, they're completely screwed if they don't have another way out of the engagement, since during that little walk the Q has come off cooldown
Yep that’s a good idea, keep close to their escape route :)
I build full CDR on Leona --> 25 in runes and 100 in items --> It double her locks capacity

@@Raizinslol wondering if you could give any tips for early laning tips? especially against strong poke champs like seraphine. do i jsut miss first wave to stay alive and farm turret with adc?
Get the xp and try to kee your HP up. You need to all in them to win, also play with your jungler. You are way stronger roaming or trying to flash on someone early game than she is so abuse that. Don’t trade your HP for no reason.

what build for her ???
Standard tank support build mate. Nothing fancy
Locket of the Iron Solari and Evenshroud are her go-to options. Alternatively you can get Shurelya's Battlesong or Radiant Virtue depending on what the team needs. You can even go Iceborn Gauntlet if you're up against a full-AD team.
From there, build whatever you/your team needs. Randuin's Omen, Sunfire Aegis, Frozen Heart, Abyssal Mask, Turbo Chemtank, Force of Nature, Zeke's Convergence, Knight's Vow, Mikael's Blessing and Redemption are all viable options depending on the circumstances. Anathema's Chains are almost never a good buy.
For boots, Plated Steelcaps or Merc Treads depending on what you're up against. Or Mobility Boots if you're roaming.
She can do a lot of damage 🤣

W before you combo because the explosion hits them and no damage
A tip from experience for my EUNE brothers : Lux support is very VERY prevalent in low ELOs, as she is the staple "fill" support. Leona can very easily learn to play into Lux and wreck their day, barring some very good Lux players.
If you're doing your climb from Bronze to Plat, I suggest at least using the tip from this video, and keep Leona as an option in your champ pool. It will make games against fill supports much easier.
Also, don't be afraid to build boots of Swiftness ! Leona hates snares, and Swiftness can help dodge skillshots that snare very easily. Of course Mercury Treads are the baseline option, but dodging is the best kind of "Tenacity" !

Is macro or micro more important to learn on leona? And what spells should I run on her
Learn how to play the champ first, learn the combos, how much dmg you deal and then you can focus on other parts of the game.
Mix in an ignite and her pre 6 is brutal
sometimes i go with R+E+Q well it depends on the situation
At a main support tank this is very usefull Thankyou.
