    Thank you for watching and commenting. As far as transferring third party patches, that’s unfortunately the unit’s Achilles heel. You can save the entire memory of the unit, and you can restore the entire memory of the unit. You cannot externally save and restore individual synth patches, drum kits, or patterns. I truly wish Roland could fix this with an update, but so far, it doesn’t seem they have.

    Great video. I’m looking to pair up a MIDI foot controller with the SH-4D to play notes with my foot while I play bass. My SH-4D is still in the mail, waiting to be delivered. I’m trying to learn as much as possible before I receive the synth. Looks like a powerhouse!
    I have one question, can we transfer 3rd party patches to the SH-4D from a computer via USB? I can’t find any documentation related to that.
    Also that bass drone sounded awesome

      An unfortunate side effect of how TH-cam can sometimes render HDR in SDR.
