She was here in Belfast last month and she got the same crap. Hundreds of these activists appeared screaming shouting and blaring out music with over 67 police (yes I counted them) surrounding them. Given the terrible response rate and crimes solved, we're paying for a service we are no longer receiving anyway.
In Lancashire, the police commissioner ( a Tory politician) had a 7% precept increase last year.
Now he has announced an upgrade to force HQ costing £75 MILLION.

When Kellie-Jay was here in Auckland we filed complaints against the Auckland Police(the Sergeant at the scene) with our independant NZ Police Conduct Authority for their not protecting NZ citizens at the event. I'm following up on my complaint with the Authority later this month as I haven't heard back as yet. Those men should be had up for a raft of offences, assault, indecent exposure, threatening behaviour etc.
