In LFR with 23 people, fps didn't drop below 140 fps when we had to break the webs and before intermission when boss link everyone with webs and with 19 players alive, I had between 90-120 fps in that phase.
@@Valix93qt WoW during group content is heavily CPU bottlenecked. Essentially the game can leverage multiple cores, but does it in a poor way. On my own CPU when I've constrained it to 6 of my cores using process lassoo, its able to force 5 of those cores to use 30-40% of the core, however the remaining core is maxing out at 100%. That 100% core is the main thread of the game, so your framerate is constrained by how much horsepower the strongest singular core on your CPU has. When lots of player characters are in one area doing content (epic BGs such as Ashran are a great example of this when everybody is fighting in mid), the amount of stuff going on really bogs down that main thread, leading WoW to be a ridiculously CPU bottlenecked game in group content. During mythic raid on Broodtwister Ovi'nax for example, my FPS dips down to 20 FPS, even though the main open world in the Dragon Isle I can fly around at 140+ FPS, sometimes spiking up to 200+ in very empty areas. Dornogol near the Auction House also tends to have noticeable FPS drops compared to the outskirts of the city nearer to the target dummies.
@@zelatus In general, it’s extremely strange if the video is made truthfully, because... at 13600k fps drops to 40 quietly here. The difference is 2-3 times and there is no drawdown from the moment the battle starts - this is strange (everyone has this problem)
9800X3D users don't have this problem. With my old system with a Ryzen 5600x my fps would drop to 20-25 fps on Mythic when adds spawn and people start blasting. You can check my Mythic Broodtwiser video, keep in mind that Mythic fight is more intense, more adds, etc. Here you have the Myhic Video: th-cam.com/video/XmxuxSGNi8s/w-d-xo.html Also in the comentary section of the Mythic Video there is a user that posted a link with the 13900KS in LFR 25 Man, no problem with fps drops.
@@zelatus This is strange. I know what this boss is in mythology. The problem is not with the summoned mobs, but in general with the drop in FPS throughout the raid at the start of the battle. Moreover, even in the last raid I saw a video where everything also fell on 7800x3d. So it’s not yet very clear why in these videos the FPS doesn’t jump anywhere on pools. So that the difference in processors (let’s take 13900k and 13600k for now), which is no more than 7-8% everywhere, reaches 100-150% here? It’s not the cache that has such an impact (because it’s definitely not the cores or the frequency)
Can you share you Nvidia settings? Have pretty much the same setup, but my fps lower than you significant. On Ovinax its like 80 from pull, and 110-120 without bl.
What GPU do you have? Try to use my raid settings if the gpu utilization gets to 99-100%. For this test in Nvida Control Panel/APP I had Vsync, Gsync OFF and No frame cap, rest of settings to default. Also very important, check if you have any WA that can cause fps drops. RTX 3080 can hadle better quality settings, you can check in the video that the GPU utilization doesn't reach 99%-100%. I'm used to play with lvl 2 quality settings since I had my GTX 970 back in Legion, I still play like that because less visual clutter in raids.
nice testing thx, will buy it next year when available ;)
I can't wait to get my 9800X3D. I currently have a 10900k and I almost get unplayable framerates in in a 25+man raid.
Nice Work 😇✌
If possible could you show Ansurek with as many people as you can muster? The webs murder our fps and it seems to scale really badly with more players

With that CPU you should crank all to max and have no issues =)
Gpu is mostly Handlung graphics? Not cpu?

hey have you done any overclocking on the cpu ?
No overclocking, but I did test with curve optimizer -30 all cores and it was stable. In this video the CPU was at default settings.
How is it at max settings?
