Please keep going, I hope you sort out this youtube algorithm.. doesn't seem to be working for you from the subs, but hope to see your effort rewarded soon. Really enjoyed the commentary and your use of language.

Unfortunately as a homeowner I also get sick of looking after tenants that destroy my property, leave and don’t seem to care about the cost’s incurred by me, even when I have every right to raise the rent but choose not to because the tenants seem to be doing the right thing. We also get anything that needs fixing fixed straight away. It still baffles me why they have to be model tenants until they move out, taking everything they want and leaving a complete mess and wrecking our house.. our last tenant upon not renewing their lease decided to abandon our property, stop paying rent and left the house infested with millions of cockroaches and blowflies due to meat that been left festering on the kitchen benches for weeks. It’s been 2 months now and our rental property is still uninhabitable…

Yes, I totally understand what you are saying..The comment about 'Selfish home owners ' spoilt what was otherwise a very good video..
Why is it that so many people can not understand that the majority of those who invest in rental properties, do so because they are busting their buns to make a future for themselves and their families, that hopefully wont include having to take a pension from the Governemnt in their retirement.
They are not rich, nor are they selfish, they just need to make the bank payments on the loan that bought that house that someone else is enjoying..and are most likely going to wreck out of disrespect.
You only have to have one tenant that has a dog scratch down a fly screen or chew on the door frame, or rip up the garden beds chasing a lizard, and hear the words ' Well, you can't blame me, the dog did it!'..to know that you as a lnadlord will have a battle on your hands to get them to pay for it or fxix it. Thereafter, lesson learned, and will never put another tenant in with a dog ever again..If people want someone to blame for the current rental crisis, then blame those bad tenants that went before them.and set the scene..

@@desgray2469 don’t think you are allowed to deny someone having a pet now unless the property is not fit . Was passed in state government not long ago, might have to take a fence down or something

The world could use more people like you. The sad reality is that most people would have gotten rid of their dog in this situation. Im pretty sure I would have done the same thing when given the choice of keeping my little staffie girl or being homeless.

Great film once again. Got to ask since you’re not prawn farming anymore, what industry are you working in up there?
    Nick Brisbane .
Ps I too have a dog but handily live on a boat.

Thanks Nick. I'm working in the sugar cane industry - I don't want to go too deep into what it is I'm doing as unlike the prawn farm, I actually need this reference! Hahaha

Wasn't much different 20 years ago, I was forced to live in my Kombi for many years because I had a small dog. A lot of the good camping places are now gone thanks to Back Packers camping on the beech fronts and leaving big mess and destroying the nature. Shame when a few irresponsible people ruin it for everyone else. Enjoy your freedom while you are young and can. There is so many places off the beaten track to see, I spent a lot of time Around Bellingen Upper Thora area and around the Kalang Farm hippie commune for a while. Beautifull country around there, but lots of Ferral Hippies too. Another Hippie commune I used to visit was one out west of Grafton called Wytaliba , It had bad devastation there a few years back after the bush fires went through the valley. But there is a free camping site there with basic amenities like toilets and BBQ area , it is right on the Mann River and is a top place to visit or stay a while. I am 66years young and me the missus and our trusty Beagle still go away on long road trips and plan to keep it up long as we can. A lot of those communes have some unbelievable buildings and even Castles built on them, if you can get permission to film there it would make a great documentary. There is also another one I forgot to mention Crystal Waters near Melani QLD, that one is a bit of an exclusive one for rich Hippies (So I been told by my friend who lives not far from it. He calls them Crystallites- Ha Ha . Also forgot to mention that a lot of the Communes won't allow dogs or cats either, just the same as they won't allow them into National Parks camping area unless you have an official assistance dog certificate.
