I was gonna say having MJF on Impractical Jokers competing feels unfair cuz he doesn't care what people think and won't get embarrassed, but they used him perfectly lol. I hope he does more episodes.
1:34 I love how when he is fed the line he almost struggles to say it in character but as soon as he starts going off of a script he goes right back to his normal charisma
That just his heel persona, I’ve heard in the real world he ain’t a jerk. If they haven’t been deleted, there are videos of him doing regular interviews and such where does break character.
He’s nice to everyone who isn’t “in on it”… Anyone that watches wrestling, like the Jokers or people at an autograph signing etc., he’s giving them the character he portrays on AEW
There not that rare tbh. Interviews and fan meet and greets and older AEW clips, MJF breaks character alot. Even if for a split second. Dudes awesome and I love him and I'm glad he keeps Kayfabe alive tho!
he's out of character a lot when the camera's aren't around but he's very old school when it comes to kayfabe keeping character as much as possible when cameras are on him. a lot of wrestlers are like that it's just easier to notice when a heel is in character since they're acting douchy but a face being in character just seems like the average nice person walking down the street. but if you watch the episode there's a few parts where you can see him trying not to laugh
The chest chop is one of the least "fake" wrestling moves, by far. There is only way you can get that loud, slap sound. You have to actually slap the crap out of the other person's chest.
I love how Q has a gleam in his eyes these days. Just seems a bit more excited. I love all 3 gentlemen, but I feel that now he is the bones of this show.
First time I've ever seen MJF even slightly break character other than when he flipped that kid off at a meet and greet and the kid put up two fingers thinking they were counting lol
I haven't watched wrestling in over 10 years. But I haven't seen someone stay in heel like this since Taker. Idk much about MJF but gotta respect the commitment
There hasn't been many people that got close to MJF's commitment in 10 years. The closest one was Tommaso Ciampa, refusing to appear in the WWE video game one year because "even in video games, he doesn't lose". He didn't want kids to play as him and look bad.
He seems like a significantly less talented and less memorable version of the rock so I'm not sure what you're talking about. "I'm better than you and you know it" Any 10 year old could come up with those same lines when trying to come up with a cocky persona, you have to have some actual wit and charisma or else it leaves no impression.
I don't miss Joe so much as I miss the actual show. It seems now it's just celebrity stunts. It's not really funny in my opinion. Not sure why they are trying something new, as opposed to just doing what they did but without Joe.
@@dinmavric5504 i bet they thought that doing the same thing without Joe would cause the show to just be bland and played out (i personally don't think it would but I'm guessing) and so they thought that they needed to adapt and change in order to keep the show alive.
Jjjjjjjjoooooeeeeyyyyyy where are you damnit? Absolutely love the ENTIRE crew, it’s just that joe was an absolute legend of Impractical comedy ✊ Miss you dude

How did I not find out about this sooner? I love both Impractical Jokers and MJF. Haven't been watching the show because it's not the same without Joe but had to watch this just for MJF
Jericho is friends with these guys. He has had them on his podcast a couple of times, he has appeared on the show and they have appeared on AEW. So I assume that's how MJF ended up there as well. Wouldn't be surprised if they did some stuff with other wrestlers too.
Hes broken character the minute his hand is in front of his face here. After that his whole speech pattern changes. Also his accent comes out. Many new yorkers (except bubba) tone down the accent as they risk getting a guido type character
He’s from plainview New York and so am I. Can’t believe someone from plainview actually made it to the big time. I’m proud of this talented young man. That was hilarious 😂
Anyone who thinks he's charismatic must think anyone that breathes is charismatic. "Were not friends tubby", "I'm better than you and you know it" . "Don't talk to me" these are all painfully lazy lines that ANYONE could think up if they were going for a jerk heel role, not witty, funny or interesting. He's doing the bare minimum for the role. Anyone who thinks he's charismatic must talk to the most boring brainless people imaginable. Scary stuff indeed
MJF broke character in the most subtle ways. If I had never seen or heard of MJF I probably wouldn't have been able to tell. But he definitely seemed to have fun doing this bit and you could tell he was genuinely trying not to laugh
MJF is the perfect candidate for Impractical Jokers because his Heelish Antics are impractical, and yet he has made it work for years. Thus, making Impractical Jokes with with his Heelish antics seems like a match made in heaven.
He broke character 30 seconds into the start.. the minute the chops were brought up.. he has his hand in front of his face because he is laughing and doesnt want people seeing. He also allows his new york accent out more. Once he broke you can tell he wanted revenge thus the suggesting doing the chops as it would make him look heelish again. If you watch interviews he breaks more than you think. His natural smile is a break.
MJFs commitment to the heel persona is amazing 😮
