I can't see anything wrong except the friction shocks but thats easily taken care of. I will be going brushless with this because a desert buggy should be fast!
The truck is amazing and is 1 of my favorites that I own. The 1 massive issue that is not included in any HBX review is that when you break something, its a 1 month wait for parts. I have not found a store that sells any parts for this. They all come from China (which I really could care less about, I do care about waiting 1 month though).
that's a long wait for sure. I've never damaged any of mine yet but I'm not really to hard on my rigs. Have you tried contacting HBX directly like on Facebook messenger? maybe they can help out or figure a way to get these parts faster or in stock.
@@RunThatRC I actually ordered the parts from HBX directly. I also ordered the same part from someone on amazon that had a 3 week wait since the part is cheap. If I want faster shipping, the cost is enormous. For the $10 part, its $48 to have it shipped by air with a 5-7 day wait.
Nice review! There is an upgraded brushed version with oil filled shocks. You also reviewed the upgraded HBX 903 brushed version which is also a 1:12 scale which I bought after seeing your review where you ran it in the same location. How would you compare the two Rigs? I’m wondering if the 2995 is better and worth getting another 1:12 scale RC? What are your thoughts? Thanks.
They are a little different and this having a center diff helps it handle pretty well. I like both but I have to say they are pretty similar but have different uses. Ones for bashing around the other for more desert style running.
heat is definitely an issue with any motor. Heat is the enemy of your motors magnets. The hotter the magnets get the more likely to loss some of its magnetic strength. This will lead to a weaker running motor.
As always neighbor you put these to the test! Revisiting getting this. Does this newer version still have the option of adding the small ESC fan? The older version allowed you to install one.
Actually not sure if it has the mountimg location for a fan but it shouldn't be hard to fit one on if you want to. I want to change to brushless with this rig in the near future and see how it does.
wanting to add 2 more stock T2153 shocks (quad shocks) Not too concerned about oil filled. Currently unavailable on Amazon. Let me know if want to part with your stock shocks. Here in Az (Fountain Hills - work in Tempe)
Is there any other shock sets for this 2995 available that you know of other than Amazon choice? I like the blue / white color scheme of the stock shocks - just thinking of maybe adding rear dampers ? Not familiar with what size the stocks are? Guess I could take one off and measure it.
Hey, can you please do us a favor and scan the User Manual of HBX 2995 Spare parts lists and share it online? This shares some components with Flyhal Fc610 and i need the parts references.
I would love to provide that info unfortunately I no longer own this Rc. I let my friends son have it. You can contact hbx (haiboxing). Im sure they can help you find parts or that list.
I used the ones off my other truck. You can get them on Amazon under the laegendary brand (not misspelled just the way they decided to spell it lol) They come in a 6 pack.
I had my eyes on this last year. Bought it on Amazon. The item arrived USED so I returned it. Real disappointed. No where to be found after that. I even contacted HBX to see if they will continue to manufacture it. They informed me NO. NOW this comes out!! I ended up buying another brand with similar features.Frustrating to say the least.
thats not a good experience. unfortunately when I ask these companies questions like that they seem to never know when or what will they be bringing out next.
i finally weakened and bought mine. Arrives today (from the Goodyear Amazon warehouse!) The prices on this item have been more up & down than a thermometer. I hope it isn't a "used" return (like last years mishap with Amazon)
This upgraded version definitely. Nailed all my wish list. I've been on the fence to buy one for a few years. Now definitely getting it.

Nice run slow Mo was tight. Thx for putting this out there. Seems very durable..

where do you orther the parts?
@@fernandopagnotta58 occasionally you get lucky and amazon will have a part but usually, the only place to get it is direct from China.
Had to buy it before the video was over. That buggy looks sweet!
Nice buggy and a great platform to upgrade imo.
@@RunThatRC how would you rate it against the pxtoys/enoze 920x or the gruzz/HBX 901 or other budget 1/10ers?
29 mph awesome for a little truck. I like it.
great little basher.
Epic slow mo friend! Loved all of it!! These hbx’s and Bezgar variants are really excellent for fun bashing just about anywhere! Great upload my dude!
Couldn't agree more! Thanks for stopping by!
Excellent job!
Thank you very much!
Sweet little buggy nice video 👍🤘
Thanks for stopping by! The buggy is upgrade worthy👍
Nice bashing 👊🏻👍🏻
thanks!
Awesome 👏
Thanks for the visit!
Nice truck pare! Its built for sand bashing I guess
Its definitely aimed at that by the way it looks for sure.
@@RunThatRC i would definitely consider buying it instead of upgrading my wltoys 12428. I wish it was more faster
Nice truck!
Did I miss the test run of the new wpl give away truck? I’ve been waiting for that one.
Me too
No you didn't miss it. It's coming soon!

@@RunThatRC Thanks for your prompt reply. By "desert style running" do you mean the 2995 might be better for off road use, trails, etc? Thanks, again!
@bernieharaldson5665 desert running high speed and sand. Having the center diff helps it handle abuse a bit better in those situations.
Hi there.. For brushed motors, is heat really an issue? Wana get 16889 for my kids
heat is definitely an issue with any motor. Heat is the enemy of your motors magnets. The hotter the magnets get the more likely to loss some of its magnetic strength. This will lead to a weaker running motor.
Can someone send me the link where they sell the differential and gears of this car? please! I really appreciate your collaboration.👍

If you have facebook you can check out the hbx page and ask them directly where to get the parts you need. Hopefully they can help you out.

measure and find a set of oil shocks and the performance of this truck becomes more hobby grade.
The add says that it comes with oil shocks
This vs YC400. Please suggest
I have no experience with the YC400 but I can say the HBX is a reliable and great Rc out the box.
haiboxing 2995 or wltoys 124019?
really depends what your doing with it. I like both but ones more basher and the other need to be ran a little more scale to be reliable.

funny how i wanted a rc that goes fast but the place i live in is a farmland chock full of tall grass. Thats why i only crawl.
if I had all that space I would definitely get into flying RCs.
@@RunThatRC sadly we got mango trees around too. and crops grow taller than you lol.
@@meolired that would make it a task to retrieve a downed craft.
Any info on which oil filled shocks to buy to replace?

what’s bigger, this or the enoze 202e?
Enoze is a slightly bigger I believe.
Where do you get spare parts for this car?
you can find some on Amazon or contact HBX themselves and they are usually good at helping find parts.
@@RunThatRC okies, thanks for replying 🙃
