- Our flight out of NYC was delayed 24 hours so instead of hanging out in the airport we joined back up with Tom for an adventure around Long Island.

It's too bad Long Island is way too expensive to live on. I had to move last year due to the ridiculously rising taxes and cost of living. I'm terribly homesick.
Long Island is my home I unfortunately don't live there anymore or in New York state but it's a great place to visit and live. The towns/villages are just beautiful. If you go into some of the smaller towns like Babylon Village (which is where I grew up) you see a lot of people and everyone knows everyone. The food is just amazing something that you don't get in East Tennessee. Long Island has so much culture especially in Suffolk County in some of the older towns.

More than you may know. You may want to check out any town along the Gold Coast: try Kings Point, Sands Point, Lattingtown, Upper Brookeville, Cove Neck, Mill Neck, Matinecock, Lloyd Harbor, Centre Island and on and on. Try Old Westbury while you’re at it. People may think of the Hamptons when they think of luxury but the Gold Coast communities are among the most upscale in the entire US.

You could have taken the ferry out of Sayville would have taken you to the gay side of Fire Island and the ferry out of Bayshore would have taken you to the straight side of Fire Island.

This video was posted a few years ago but I’m still gonna comment this….Although the Amityville House is known for the movies, it’s not actually haunted nor is it open to the public. The owners don’t allow it to be opened for tours, and it just looks like it could be haunted…however it is a beautiful house.

I don’t know if you realize but Flushing Meadows isn’t Long Island , maybe you should edit the title or make a separate video for NYC based destinations .
Flushing Meadows is actually on Long Island in Queens which is just a Borough of New York City..
