what does this have to do with philly cheesesteak?

I don't mean to hate but this is a bit of an odd pizza interpretation of a philly cheesesteak and doesn't really capture its essence... I imagine it more as a pizza with a base of cheese sauce, grilled onions and thinly pre-sliced ribeye that's then been cooked +/- provolone (/provolone-like cheese) on top.
In Philly a cheesesteak pizza literally is just instead of putting the steak on a roll you put it on top of a normal pizza.

Cheddar on a pizza is a bit off for me, I would much rather have provolone.
And... I have never seen cream cheese on a Philly Cheese Steak.
searing meat doesn't lock in the juices.
this old trope has been debunked so thoroughly it's sad to see it pop up here.
it does de-gristle the fat from the steak in a cheesesteak.
