Watched a great video on the windmills in Holland. A lot of Holland is land that was underwater and the windmills are used to keep that reclaimed land dry. The windmills can turn clockwise or anticlockwise and this change is done manually. I’m sure you’re getting the full story while you’re there. Enjoy your visit.
Correction to my comment. The windmill blades always turn in the same direction but the position of the blades can be changed to face different directions as needed. The top of the windmill rotates to achieve this.

I hear in Holland, Michigan they have Tulip Time in the beginning of May for 2 weeks, there they also have a Windmill from the Netherlands, it's called Windmill Island, lots to see there, plus beautiful tulips, lots of activities parades, Dutch Dancers, food vendors, great restaurants, star bucks Yeah!!
