In this 14th episode of Kitabi Baatein, we have picked, the heart touching stories of Kargil war fought between India and Pakistan in the year 1999. We have discussed the inspiring story of Captain Haneef Uddin, the sacrifices of Captain Saurabh Kalia, a letter that Indian army wrote to Pakistan government appreciating a soldier of enemy nation and an incident where in the middle of the war Indian army soldiers requested their own mates to open fire on them.

Captain Haneef did a major task by exposing himself, so that his compatriots could identify enemy locations. But his mom, Smt Hema Aziz is whom I remember on TV, coming to each and every gun salute. Her baby's body was one of the last to be recovered.
