Oh you have no idea, you should see some of her live performances, she really deserved the title of 'the voice' she was even better live than on record. And yes she was freakin stunning looking. Besides pop she was influenced alot by gospel, I recommend you react her singing "A Quiet Place" 1987 in church, it is awsome. Her prime years was from mid 80's to early 90's, still great after but it went down hill for her as you know.
