In this video, we’re taking you deep into the jungle of Sumatra, to search for orangutans in the wild.
We’ll be spending three days and two nights camping in jungle, and we’ll also be coming across many different species of wildlife and flora.
We’ll be exploring the Gunung Leuser National Park outside of Ketambe in Aceh, and later in the video, we’ll explain why we decided not to visit the more popular area of Bukit Lawang.
So join us on this chapter of our journey, as we drive our motorbikes from Jakarta to Sabang, across the 6th largest island in the world Sumatra, Indonesia.

Excellent decision to visit this national park…. Not a touristy one like Bukit Lawang. You were very blessed to encounter with orang utans so close in their real habitat, and see Rafflesia Arnoldi. I can see the flower only from pictures.

In my place, the little "Lintah" called "pacat", only the big one people say "Lintah", but different between the little and the big is, pacat (little) only can see in the jungle, and lintah (big) only in the water.

Hi,I believe having direct conversation and hang out with local is the best way instead of learning by reading or any schools cuz the the grammar,the way we pronounce of letters sometimes very different ,I mean we don't change any sound pronounce of any letters say it as it is ,unlike English language

Oh my goodness! Super cool. And you know why you're allowed by mother nature to be that lucky with the orangutan and the small loris? Cause you come to appreciate and understand. Not just making them your content or something to take pictures with. But you're coming to the end of the main island. Please do visit the smaller islands in Sumatera. Nias, Bangka Belitung and other Kepulauan Riau islands.
