The sword fight in the the end of ‘Uncharted 4’ comes to mind. It’s the last boss fight against the game’s main antagonist, and it’s really cool a built very well
Oh yeah. Such a cook way to end the game. That last level was a true visual masterpiece. Both the ship in the cave and and the fight on the room on fire just looked fantastic
while watching this i was sure they will mention that segment, it was so weird for a trilogy game where u never use any weapon beside gun or fist and then suddenly there is a sword fight
Japan has one of the strictest gun laws in the world. It's hard and expensive to get illegal guns, plus it attracts a huge amount of police attention so the Yakuza rarely use them. They mostly get old model pistols like the ones in the game. Plus recent events caused the biggest gang to declare gun use taboo.
@TeddyKrimsony the courts executed like maybe a year or 2 ago the Patriarch of one of the families for crimes committed by some low-level members. They ruled that the Patriarch was ultimately responsible for crimes committed by any member. So the biggest gang made guns taboo because it somehow will prevent their boss from getting the same charge? Which, yes, does not make sense. The only thing I can think of is, like I said, guns attract more police attention, so they want to carry out operations without being easily tracked.
Even Chinese gangs avoid using guns in japan, its crazy, if you use a gun there to resolve any problem, you're literally getting your ass finished or by the government or by yakuza itself
Yeah honestly id rather deal with the chinese or japanese mobs cause of the lack of guns, also the fact that they do have and show respect and finally the fact unlike a crap ton of gangs the word honour means something to them

For Number 9 (Call Of Duty: Black Ops), I remember that mission being the demo mission I played before getting the game. I'd be curious to know if they put that little gameplay mechanic in because they knew it would be the demo mission and possibly could sway people into buying the game!
A little detail from Dragon Quest 11. There is a little part that you play as an short old man Rab. Now normally when reading a book from shelf our hero just grab it because the book is just in front on him. But when you are playing as Rab, he is too short. Instead of book teleport into his hands like what other devs might do, in this game Rab has a jumping animation to grab books. And also jumps again to put it back. Also when talking to npcs they look DOWN at Rab because of his height. I was so amazed by the effort.
The little interactive things around Empire Bay in Mafia 2 were neat. From getting your shoes shined, buying a hotdog from a street vendor, or visiting the different shops/vendors around the city was cool. Pity there was nothing outside the main story to explore more of the locations.
For Yakuza I would rather mention snowmobile from Y5. Guns are present as usable weapons in some parts of the series, snowmobile is unique and used only in 5.
Immortals Fenyx Rising, which some might uncharitably label a Zelda BotW clone, has a freakin' pinball game in one of its dungeons. This is an ARPG-ish third person platformer where you spend a lot of time flying and climbing and double jumping. I don't remember if it's even a required dungeon, there are a lot that are totally optional. Now there are plenty of other sections where you push balls and crates onto switches and stuff, but this pinball game is, as far as I could tell, the singular instance in the entire very long game. For that matter, the same game has you use a secondary effect of the hammer power for a tiny handful of puzzles. The hammer can attack upwards, and this allows you to send certain objects across gaps. In most games this would be a core feature but it's barely used at all, hell that you can even DO that is only mentioned once. However a DLC does make extensive use of it so maybe it was held back for that.
Speaking of BotW clones... Genshin Impact had a sidequest as far back as v1.0 where you had to set bear traps to catch wild boars for meat. But you only got a few traps and no way to craft or buy any more. I had honestly forgotten all bout the trapping mechanic until the recent v4.1 update where there's a junk shop in a new area that sells bear traps ...except that it doesn't. It's just the devs trolling. The traps are always listed as "out of stock" and never replenish. I thought it was a funny callback though.
Operation Flashpoint Cold War Crisis has you fly an A-10 for literal seconds before it gets shot down and the real mission starts. The thing is, despite having no previous experience with flying controls in this game, it seems you were actually supposed to do an attack run in that short moment as well lol. I think "tank levels" deserve their own video by the way. They're like water levels, except opposite -- like power trips that fizzle out way too soon. MoH's Tiger capture is an example, and if I recall correctly, one of its expansions featured a desert tank fight. Operation Flashpoint also features one where you command a gaggle of Abrams tanks. Then there's the hovertank bit of Quake 4. Call of Duty's got one or several.
The first that comes to my mind is Jak 3, when Daxter is suddenly riding a missile, and now we're controlling him to pick up energy and hit a barricade.
RE6 is so crazy, it's full of weird one-time moments like that. There's also a very short sequence in which the game turns to Mirror's Edge for some reasons, with every textures being white and the interactive objects being bright red. It's never explained why and never happens again in the rest of the game.
There were 3 ship sections in Guardians of the Galaxy, no? First one where you had to escape, second this dogfight and final one being infiltrate (by sneaking or fighting) the last level at the beginning.

@@williamhall3025 I think that was Watch dogs 1, there were these 'digital trips' and in one of them you played as the spider tank and you had timed waves of objectives and stuff to destroy and they got harder after a while and you would have to start over when the timer runs out or you get destroyed.
