  • We visit one of the most elegant castles in Scotland with a simply stunning location , Culzean Castle. Perched on the cliffs that plunge 150ft into sandy coves, Culzean Castle sits on 120 hectares of land including 3 miles of coastline in Ayrshire. The castle was built in stages between 1777 and 1792.
Gordon Nelson, National Trust for Scotland's Collections Care Officer and head guide at Culzean Castle takes us on a tour of the castle.
Put Culzean Castle on your must-visit list if you love the opulence that comes with a grand castle. As you tour the magnificent rooms, you get an idea of what staying in a castle must have been like for Scotland’s rich and famous.
A big thank you to National Trust for Scotland from Team Scotistani for allowing us to film at the castle and providing us with such wealth of information about the castle's history.
The National Trust for Scotland (NTS) is an independent charity that protects and shares some of our country’s most precious historic places and natural landscapes on behalf of the people of Scotland. NTS' purpose is to protect, care for, share and speak up for Scotland’s magnificent heritage.

Impressive how National Trust for Scotland cares for Scotland’s heritage and nature. Pakistan can definitely learn the art of preservation of historical buildings and how to look after cultural heritage and artefacts from NTS.Some of the historical sites are in a shocking state of neglect and disrepair in Pakistan.
I didn’t know the Z was silent in Culzean. Thanks Scotistani for taking us to such a beautiful and historical place. We learn so much about Scotland from your videos.
