Gurdwara Panja Sahib گردوارا پنجا صاحب حسن ابدال
Today, we’re at Gurdwara Panja Sahib to explore not just this beautiful place of worship, but also to celebrate the essence of diversity in faith and culture.
No matter what faith we belong to, it’s essential to respect others. Each place of worship, like Gurdwara Panja Sahib, tells a story of devotion, history, and community. Preserving these sacred spaces allows us to gain a deeper understanding of our collective identity.
The shrine is considered to be particularly important as the handprint of the founder of Sikhism, Guru Nanak, is believed to be imprinted on a boulder at the Gurdwara. The Guru is said to have visited this place in the summer of 1521 CE. The first Gurdwara at the site was built by Hari Singh Nalwa, a famous general of Ranjit Singh and was named Panja Sahib by him to commemorate Guru Nanak’s visit.

Please don’t take this train as its return journey is total waste of time and exhausting, they stop at every station and take a lot of time ; moreover food quality is horrible
That’s not correct..the train we took only made a stop at Hassanabdal…and stopped at a small junction..can’t recall the name… for five minutes.i agree with the food quality part…it could have been better..we complained and the organisers agreed to take our suggestions to the management committee.
