There's so much into just the set up of spey fishing. I can swing with my single hand, till I figure it out
@@JohnJames. for sure... been fly fishing for 15yrs now and spey fishing for 12... the lines grain weight, different lines for different applications/seasons. A wholeeee lot goes into clean casts and hooking up. Its an art, fuckn love it when it pays off

What a sick day! Some really nice fish landed. Couldn't imagine any better way to spend a rare PNW sunny winter day. Would definitely like to see Jordan catch some steelhead on any kind of fly outfit, either two hand or single hand.

Yeah! A classic and effective lure
Being that you do a lot of trout fishing, especially sea-run cutthroat, you should consider getting into single-hand spey. Shorter rods, shorter lines, lighter setups. It's a lot of fun and you can still chuck some pretty big bugs. OPST lines are a great place to start.

Addicted fishing I just want to say thank you. I have pretty bad anxiety and I love fishing. When I have panic attacks I watch your videos to calm me and it works! It might not seem big to you guys but it is for me. I also got into fishing 2 year ago. Your guys videos helped me learn to fish because my family isn't really into fishing and stuff like that. And I don't have anyone to help me with it. Thank you ❤.

Yeah that little raft was video was great
Jordan man... this brings me back to about 1979 or 1980. 9 or 10 years old at the time.... riding my bicycle to Oshawa Creek about 10 miles only to wipe out and break my old 1 piece rod clean in half. I was devastated. Being spring opening season, I didn't want to ride home beaten. I took out my dad's old Swiss Army knife and cut the broken ends clean. Being hollow fibreglass I ground the splinters off on a rock. Then I ate my sandwich early so I can use the plastic bag. Being tapered, the rod didn't fit in the fat part below, so I used the plastic bag to slide in and make a tight fit. Then I took my matches and melted the plastic bag in all the broken area and I believe it became stronger than original when it cooled. I was able to finish my day fishing. I love Rainbow fishing as much as you if not more. Good job with the on the broken tip repair. It is now March and the trout are running up from Lake Ontario.

I remember last summer I caught a steelhead while trout fishing. On a 1/8oz black rooster tail and 4lb mono with a 6ft ultralight. That was the craziest fight of my life.
Love some raft fishing especially with a small rod and big fish! Excitement definitely gets in the way of an accurate measurement like that rainbow was around 18-20”! But keep up the great work

An old timer up here in Canada told me to keep a little bit on nail polish and simple sewing thread on your self to make just such a repair. I have actually seen it, nail polish over wrapped thread will keep that rod tip on for as long as you keep the rod!
When Jordan broke his rod tip for a second I thought he broke the Spey rod which is sooooo expensive
