Very interesting piece of gadget and btw great review, I loved the 'rocket fuel' comparison. Look forward to Part 2 of the review from you!
Thanks for watching and feedback, very glad that you enjoyed the video and stay tuned for part 2 of the review!
Nice video 🙂
In one shot, the flames were licking the top of the fan unit - always turn the kettlepot flame vents away, and keep the fan unit upwind!
Better battery cooling that way, too
Thank you
I got my one last week, i have not had the time to try it out yet, good review 😊👍
Thank you!
Great stuff, this was an entertaining review. Look forward to part 2 of the review and it's time for me to hit that subscribe button!
Thanks for following and supporting me and this Channel, much appreciate it!
Very cool tech. Looks like it's essentially a mini furnace? I like it but my immediate concerns/questions were:
1. How heavy is it as it looks quite bulky
2. I assume they've thoroughly tested it, but it does kind of concern me that you have what I assume is a lithium ion battery so close to fire
3. Batteries degrade over time, so how user serviceable is it, i.e. is it easy to replace the battery
Would be very interested in hearing your thoughts!
Thanks for your questions. The stove and power module weigh 2 pound 6 ounces. Then the pot comes in at 1.6 pounds. Which puts the whole thing to be close to 4 pounds. Yes, your concern is valid regarding he battery. But biolite have put in a protection mechanism when battery is overheated, this is something that I will cover in more detail in part 2 of the review. I recommend you check that out when it comes out in 3 days.
Regarding serviceability, honestly that’s a good question, I have seen people replacing the battery themselves, removing the power module cover and air filter seems straight forward enough and the location of the battery is quite accessible.
Curious to know cleaning tips -? I have found the 1st gen one- excited to try
I don’t clean it at all
👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you!
