RedLuckOG as long as it’s round it doesn’t matter how big it is. It needs to have enough gravity to make it round, and make a circular orbit around the star. While some moons aren’t circular a lot are which would make them planets

Hell, it's an interesting enough question that a movie was made about that (2010: The Year We Make Contact, which was itself a sequel to 2001: A Space Odyssey). Imagine that. Instead of Jupiter we had Sol B, right at 80x the current mass of Jupiter. Assuming it was conducive to longterm life on the planet, I really wonder what kind of world we'd live in under such conditions. It'd certainly make Alpha Centauri seem like a normal star system instead of an exotic one.

This forms a protective ring where nothing gets flung at a planet except 1-2 a couple years. If we were to strengthen the Gas Giant's gravity it would create an interference with the Belt's course. Imagine a belt around you, then uncouple it and you'll see how the Asteroid belt would react to the interference. It would send Asteroids in every general direction. However less than 1/100000 of the belt would come in our general direction, the rest would be ate by Jupiter, increasing its already monster size even more.

If Jupiter became a Star I guess that would make Jupiters moons, planets.
They’re still too small to be considered planets, plus there is a chance those moons would be vaporized if the star is created.
