    I put these parts on my 97 Z28 two years ago. No longer a squishy sensation during full throttle starts, and no more squeaky bushings on cold mornings. Also used all new hardware torqued per instructions.

    I did the same install on my 95 Z28 years ago. Great mod! Love UMI stuff.

    Awesome video...about to do this same install on my 2000 WS6 today...UMI package arrived yesterday picked it up on Amazon for $189.95

      Is that the total with shipping? You will notice a difference. Also be sure to grease them everytime you do an oil change

    I love all the red under there!

      Camaro Rick if you don't have these installed in your car I suggest you should they stiffen up the frame even more. But right now I'm working on the clutch master cylinder went out I'm trying to bleed all the air out

    • @CamaroRick
      @CamaroRick 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I bet, The stamped sheet metal leaves a lot to be improved on. I love UMI products. Check out the Tick adjustable Master cylinder kit if you have not bought a new one yet. Also a remote bleeder or extending the factory bleeder makes the job so much easier.

      @chemicalspore  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Camaro Rick yeah I already installed one that I got from a damn local auto parts store and it still spongy I bought a brake bleeder to suck the air out and it still spongy on me

      Camaro Rick I'm not as good as a mechanic as you and I barely know the basics or I'm starting to learn

    • @CamaroRick
      @CamaroRick 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks man. You got it under control! Sometimes the clutch bleed can be a pain to get all the air out. Spongy is getting close.

    I'm buying a set of these today. My firebird is a 6 speed with 3.73 gears. Needs computer reprogrammed but it runs pretty good otherwise. It would be a pretty quick car if I could get some grip. I'm hoping these will help along with the tires I got.

    Do you remember what the torque specs were for the control arms and panhard bar? I got the same parts from BMR and they did not come with any instructions...

    • @chemicalspore
      @chemicalspore  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Torque them as tight as you can. Otherwise you will get alot of noise

    • @Chevdriver
      @Chevdriver 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Panhardt 55ft-lbs(74,57Nm) Control Arms 87 ft-lbs(117,95Nm) but im also a big fan of tighten the sh*t out of every thing

    @graemer66 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Just bought the panhard bar and control arms from Founders in the US and will be doing this exact same job, could you tell me what you mean by "torque down". Do you just mean you tightened all the bolts ?

    • @chemicalspore
      @chemicalspore  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. Make sure they are super tight, they were a little loose when I first put them on and they were making all kinds of knocking noises. Be sure to grease them every time you change your oil

      They firm the ride up and make the car handle a little better. Underneath, camaros and firebirds are the exact same.
