Hey Alex, you may, or may not remember me. I told you a while back about the " steamables " vegetables. Anyway, Tyson chicken makes frozen already cooked bags of chicken strips that take only 3-4 min. In the microwave to heat. You can get you a few bags of already chopped salad mix, keeper in your fridge. If you don't have a freezer on your fridge you can make the chicken ahead of time, it'll last 3 days in your fridge. Make you some healthy chicken salads. Also keep a few extra spices in you truck so you can experiment with different flavors.

I really enjoy watching your channel Alex! I use to drive semi’s I started back in 2019 when I was 21 now in law enforcement at age 23 and I’m still young and still exploring! I started out with swift! Fortunately, my trainer was awesome and treated me like her own son! Taught be the ins and outs about trucking! She had me mastered in backing in less than a few days! I drove a freight shaker (frieghtliner) probably the 2nd favorite trucks as kenworth comes in 1st! For the frieghtliner I look at the spot I want to park in and if there is a truck or trailer 2 spots down from the spots I count one full trailer or truck pass then two trailer or truck pass then the half of that trailer or truck I began my serpentine maneuver! I cannot stress this enough, Alex.. I hate driving in the snow. It's cold, dirty, slick and dangerous. I hate it! I put up with snow and ice for about 3 days and finally made it home thank God.
When youre setting yourself up to back think of it like a fish hook to set yourself up. And while you're backing its a matter of finding your target line and then following the tandems on the trailer. After that if you need a pull up and find yourself in a situation where you need to scoot over don't have your tractor pointing the same angle of the trailer like you did at 6:00 have it facing the other direction otherwise you're just going to set yourself up in a back and forth loop
Hey brother from one trucker to another if your wanting to start hearing people respond to you on the cb try learning some of the lingo other drivers use cause honestly they can smell the green horn through the radio and most of them will ignore you unfortunately that's how it is but keep up the hard work your doing good so far

Bit late but I'd genuinely be interested in seeing a lot longer vlogs, like maybe 30-1 or maybe even 2 hours of you just driving or just some cuts with you talking, and its just so relaxing listening to you, like a podcast or something
I also love the videos like everybody else here but I have one suggestion to think about: I see that you eat with a lot of plastic dishes, forks knifes and etc. We all must reduce such kind of stuff. Can you please think to this direction how you can make it more green?
@Hyperskreem 82 if you seek you will find :) There are some ways. I am not saying to completely stop using plastic but to just think of a way to reduce it a little.
If I could give you a tip for backing it would be this. Alot of newer drivers over think when they back, but if you trust this process it will be easier. When backing dont use the rear of the trailor as your guide, use the rear trailor tandems as your guide. The moment your rear axel hits the line of the spot you're looking to back into cut hard, and pay close attention to the tires of the rear tandem, where ever they are is where the trailer is going. To many make the mistake of following the rear of the trailor and then take 30 mins to an hour to back into a spot, sometimes even causing accidents in the process.
Also the key to backing into any spot is this, 1 and a halfish past your desired spot, then turn the wheel all the way right, until the tractor is at 12 o'clock then turn the wheel left until the tractor is at 9ish oclock.
@@kydon1236 Thats what they teach you in school but it only works if you have lots of room. In the real world you most often need to go a space and a half then turn to a 45 degree angle and go until the tractor is 5/8s of the gap you have, then turn back left until u see your rear wheels while looking out the window. Then cut hard right and start backing. Works every time once you figure out how much to go forward when you begin the meneuver.

Justin I had reserves when I was 21, I only started driving when I was 30. I got my cdl paid for by a company, instead of paying myself. I can say I have no regretted it. I am not a long haul driver, I am a local driver, and I make $30 an hour. I'm home daily, and work about 50 to 60 hours a week. I have weekends off, all things people said I'd never find as a local driver. But if you desire it bad enough you will find what you want and become successful.
I feel your struggle. Am a first yr flatbed driver. I started out from Vaca Valley, Ca near Sacramento with a 16K lb load of insulation panels full height (turns out light and high profile is the most dangerous in snowy windy conditions) heading to a new Microsoft build site in Cheyenne Wyoming in 12/23/21 and got stuck in the Sierra-Nevada mountains on I-80 near Emigrant Pass at Nyack Rd for 3 days because of the NorCal alpine kamikaze/tsunami snow falling by the feet not inches. Finally arrived in Cheyenne Wy by 1st of January 22. So spent my Christmas and New Years in the snow and ice.
Just a heads up when it comes to the CB radio never ever ever key up on the microphone without having the antenna connected to the radio if you do you'll blow out the circuits it will still be on it will still receive but you'll never be able to transmit again... Also I would highly suggest go to a CB shop and have them tune it to the truck meaning have them come out so they can properly tune it... I have my ham radio license and setting up a radios to a vehicle can sometimes be difficult and other times you could just get very lucky and be easy but most of the time it is difficult to have it properly tuned... A lot of truckers will just throw the radio in and be done with it. sure will reach out about a mile or so but a properly tuned and peaked radio should be able to reach out 10 miles on flatland... Sometimes you'll come across a driver that said he was able to talk to someone several states away now this is possible but the conditions have to be perfect. his radio has to be perfectly set up, the antennas have to be perfectly tuned, atmospheric conditions have to be perfect, and the sun needs to be at its solar Maximums, which occurs every 11 years.
Good thing you have patience you seem to not let anything bother you I mean you do complain but everyone does that as long as you don't panic and start fighting with others you'll be good just watch those mirrors keep your distance and drive at a safe speed.
Check your antenna, you need a dedicated one and there should be a din of noise from people talking, especially at higher elevations, like on foothills facing a lot of urban and suburban areas.
I'm a diesel mechanic and I do lots of traveling wat I did was get a DVD player in my truck and I like go listen to my favorite TV shows it keeps me occupied on long trips
Make sure your CB is on channel 19. They used to also use channel 9 for emergency but I do not believe that is a thing anymore so I would stick with 19.
The only thing you can do in winter driving is take your time, if it takes 7 days to get to your destination, just do it safely. The Texas/Louisiana ice storm last year was proof. It took me 3 days to get from Houston Texas to Bastrop Louisiana, when normally it's only 6 hours.
I've been driving now for about a year myself I don't do long hauls just local heavy loads (128000 pounds as per Ontario limits) but for me when it's come to backing I've always found it's easyer to get my trailer set up In a good manner even if my tractor is crooked also cudos to being able to back up an automatic I can't stand using those damn things I'd be lost without my clutch

Sometimes you'll come across a driver that said he was able to talk to someone several states away now this is possible but the conditions have to be perfect. his radio has to be perfectly set up, the antennas have to be perfectly tuned, atmospheric conditions have to be perfect, and the sun needs to be at its solar Maximums, which occurs every 11 years.
i actually love these vids! keep it up man!!
I like your short videos, but the rambling was good too. You should do more like this.
You know things are cold when they cover the gas pumps. Never seen that before. 🥶
Oh yeah. The DEF fluid actually froze at the last truckstop I was at so I couldn't pump new DEF into the truck.
Good thing you have patience you seem to not let anything bother you I mean you do complain but everyone does that as long as you don't panic and start fighting with others you'll be good just watch those mirrors keep your distance and drive at a safe speed.
Love your videos! Need more longer vlogs!
Check your antenna, you need a dedicated one and there should be a din of noise from people talking, especially at higher elevations, like on foothills facing a lot of urban and suburban areas.
Bro keep up the good work💪🏼 always so positive and always helping others with so much info. Stay safe brother
So cool to get an inside view of this life style!
Is it just me? Or would anyone else have poured that delicious grease of goodness onto the rice? 🤤
Finally a longer video!
Would love a long video of just the scenery you find yourself in
Love the longer videos!
I like the longer content. Keep it going please!!!
I don't plan on stopping the long videos they'll just be uploaded a lot less often than the short ones because they take 8hrs+ to make
Break 19 for a radio check?? Alex the trucker, you have a copy?? 😄 😂
You always provide great content!
You got this and ty for the content. Keep on trucking.
The only thing you can do in winter driving is take your time, if it takes 7 days to get to your destination, just do it safely. The Texas/Louisiana ice storm last year was proof. It took me 3 days to get from Houston Texas to Bastrop Louisiana, when normally it's only 6 hours.
I LOVE these longer videos, please continue making them
Be safe and careful driving have fun and success always
I've been driving now for about a year myself I don't do long hauls just local heavy loads (128000 pounds as per Ontario limits) but for me when it's come to backing I've always found it's easyer to get my trailer set up In a good manner even if my tractor is crooked also cudos to being able to back up an automatic I can't stand using those damn things I'd be lost without my clutch
Your calm voice reminds me of that of the guy from ( daily dose of internet.)..
Love these longer videos! Safe travels bro
Snow looks nice
I like the long form videos
