- I used This Is Halloween last year, but with a new projector I wanted to try it again. This is a new Halloween House Projection for 2019. I also used The Nightmare Before Christmas as a theme for a Christmas projection you can view on my channel as well.

It depends on the level of traffic we get! So far my nieghbors have all been very supportive. I'm sitting here finishing up one of my scenes for this year right now. I'll have it posted as soon as I can.

Thanks Steve! I'm printing off your comment and giving it to my kid. She teases me about his foot placement and speed being off. Apparently not getting the physics 100% correct could ruin Halloween for everybody involved. lol.

Unfortunately it's not anything I can make for you. I designed it for the exact shape of my house, from the exact position required for my particular projector. If any one of those details changed nothing would line up.

@@stevedougherty4526 Thank you! I replied to your other post about why it was late. I'm also redoing this one, again, for 2020. I keep getting requests for it. There were kids coming to see this one specifically. I felt bad! So, I'll add this to the mix again. I'll add in some new effects and use it as a way to learn a new technique.
What design program do you use to put it all together? Madmapper? something like that?
I use Adobe After Effects for everything.

Holiday House Projections can you make me one tailored to my house?
@@annamariesonyaibarra2120 To do that you would need to create a perfect trace of your house from one exact spot. The projector's angle, height, distance, everything would have to be perfectly matched and repeated. I display my projections nightly for a few weeks and I have created custom built rigs and anchors to lock it in. Even with all that it has to be tweaked repeatedly. It's just not anything I can provide, sorry about that.

Great work. If I were to get all equipment needed, is there a software program that I can use to do a "nightmare before christmas" theme?
In regards to software, all you need is a video editing program to do basic scenes. I use Adobe After Effects because it allows me to create special effects as well. I also use photoshop to create the basic look of the house.

Hello! I do not have one personally. I wouldn't wish my methods on my worst enemy! If I made a "How To" video it would just be hours of my wife looking at me working on a laptop in the driveway after midnight, wondering where her life went wrong.
In all seriousness there are some great videos out there on projection mapping.
Basic steps, you need to have one place for your projector, locked in to the same height, angle, distance, etc. I then project photoshop onto my house and trace EVERY detail. You may not need to. The shapes you make (garage doors, windows, gutters...) then are used as masks in video editing/production software.

How did you sync your singing pumpkins with the show? I have the singing pumpkins animations and want to do something like this and have 2 projectors ready to go (assuming you used two different projectors)
I actually only use one projector. Most of the pumpkins have to be tweaked for my videos because I edit the audio. I use After Effects to manually sync the animation.

Hello! Keep an eye on eBay. You can sometimes find good deals on used equipment. I've used both non-hd and hd projectors, and while the difference in resolution was obvious, the greatest leap was in Lumens. That's your standard to look at for brightness. My first videos were done with an non-hd, 2200 lumen projector I picked up new on Amazon for about $500. I upgraded to a 4400 lumen HD projector after that.

Hello! This isn't a system really, it's just a regular projector. I make everything with video and imaging software and project the results. It's all custom made.

You were a little late to post this
I don't usually post them until after the holiday. It's just too busy. I make scenes basically all month. I have one running now, and 3 in the works. We have a lot of repeat visitors, so I change things up as well. Add new things in the windows, stuff like that. The version I'm running now, on 10/14, is already on it's 5th version. Lol. I like to play, and I only get to do it twice a year. I'll try to get them up sooner this year.

How did you get all this set up I have the projector need help
If you look up Projection Mapping tutorials you should find tons nowadays. The key is being consistent with the placement of your projector. It needs to be exact every night. Good luck!

My son has severe autism - he loves Halloween but it’s very hard for him to trick or treat (he’s non verbal) but would love to purchase the projection video + equipment to make handing out candy at the door experience more fun and personalized for him.
