I know a lot of fabricators, myself included, who prefer the grinder to coast for a time before breaking to a stop. It helps when radiusing corners and doing finicky bevels to not cut too deep, so having the disc coast before coming to a stop is a plus in my view 👍
I have this grinder and compared to the prior 6inch gen from milwaukee this one is twice the power and torque also almost impossible to stall when paired with the 8ah forge or the 12 forge , realy realy powerfull more than the dcg418 too
have had it on order from acme power tools since end july first august and discounted 279 ship to my house now just looking forward to getting it next month like all the tools coming from china its on a real slow boat
Here in Europe Milwaukee applies a different modeldesignation. I've got one that reads 'FSAGV125XPDB' and was built in 2021 according to the labeling. This one sports a 5 position speeddial, which to me looks like a better solution then the one shown on your machine. When releasing the (paddle-)switch, it comes to a halt much, much faster then the one you show here. And like the one you show here, mine came with a simmilar locknut, which I immediately replaced by a/their quicklock 'FixTec' nut. Furthermore mine looks quite simmilar to yours, so it maybe an incrementally upgraded version. It near litteraly 'cuts the cake'. Having said that, I've got an older one which stops even faster then my current one.
i have the same one and its good, my only problem with that grinder is that stupid paddle switch, i got it as a bundle deal. they didnt offer that deal with the slide switch (lock) seems like they are really pushing for that paddle switch. The reason i dont like that is because you can only use it at a mostly fixed position, on top of that it wears out your arm holding that damn thing down. i would argue its actually less safe because it creates fatige FASTER which leads to not being able to do things properly all the time, i came up with a solution to essentially make it a lock switch and it didnt cost me anything. best part is, it doesnt void Warranty at all and it essentially makes it in to a lock switch lol outside of taht horride switch design its a great machine.
Same ridiculously stupid guard attachment that’ll wear and rattle within 3 month of use. POS. Im thinking about switching to dewalt. Their 6” is time proven, and always had more power and better balance than my 6” Milwaukee.

Sounds more powerful than the corded tools I’ve come across, wouldn’t surprise me as brushless DC tech is better.

How do you know it just came out
@@ryanthibeaux uh no… I have a 6” cordless Milwaukee that’s somewhere near 4 years old
Nothing new just like any other grinders
