Let’s say you’re designing and developing a new product, and some of the parts are plastic injection mouldings. You may wish to go through some prototyping, maybe a few rounds of 3D printing, maybe some vacuum castings a.k.a. cast urethanes, and then finally, you need to pump out some real plastic parts.
The question is this: where do you start?

Have you ever worked with a 3D printed mold tool? What was your experience? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!
You can make a 3d resin mold and than make a copy of it using metal sand casting technic
I hope you talk about it
The most articulate content available on rapid tooling. Perfect for students, helped me a lot. 👍
Your videos are a delight for my brain. I love your channel and sence of humor. I use this chance to leave a question. I currently run a small 3d printing business. And I am thinking about casting in molds and making a couple of my most popular figures in injection molding. But I dont know where to start. Would you advice me?
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight.......... Chris Cringles Christmas Project. Got it.
Mantle printers are using metal deposition and milling machine in one. They printer some layers bake it and then mill to get surface finish.
Very interesting and insightful. I might be in the market for some UK injection moulding consultancy as my ideas / products outgrow the 3d print farm. ... 🇬🇧
Thank you. We have our engineers in the UK. Please feel free to get in touch, if you need our services.
@@starrapid Thank you. I certainly will.
Did you see German institute developed a polymer over moulded cylinder head for BMW 650cc single motorcycle engine a few years ago -not using PEAK/PEEK
Merci
nice video
Thank you.
Good
👍
Epoxy resin but what is the filler for that resin?
Aluminium powder.
