I don't understand what someone gets out of trolling someone else especially if it is hurtful. Maybe I was brought up differently or that I was an adult long before the internet was a thing. Clear skies everyone.
Thanks Dylan! Its been a long ass illness, still ongoing but i'm 100000% better than i was :) and its been a few trolls really, next time i'll send them your way :) currently making better use of the block and delete button !
Thank you for the support everyone, I really appreciate it. It’s been a tough old year! Still waiting on more investigations and such, but I’m so much better physically and mentally than I was :)
Stacey, So glad you are doing better. I understand when the sky seems to be falling it is hard to see the bright side. But you are out of the worst and there are better days ahead. Looking forward to more of your videos. God bless.
Hi Stace: I am so glad you are feeling better and I hope you have continued health. As always it is great to see you and Luna. Looking forward to hopefully seeing you post more videos. All the best!
Gday Stac Great to see you back. Here in the east coast of Oz we have had terrible weather since November & it is still hanging around Chin up & thanks for content Cheers
We're glad you're back. I have a French Bulldog who is also named Luna. I also have a Pentax K-1 Mark II. I haven't done much Astro photography with it because the ground light is heavy in my city. During the summer, we traveled to the Badlands of South Dackota (they're not really bad; just an arid geological area with lots of Bison). On moonless nights you could see everything including the international space station. I would be interested in hearing more about your Pentax kit.
Hi Stace, glad to see you back and ok, these times have been really naff, my wife had to quit the NHS in the end, also coped with blasted covid in the family, not best of times. Your videos have always been a great source of inspiration, keep it up and be well, atb Tom🤗..
HI Stacey and how nice to see you back. Glad you are better and all Mojo'd ready to go. Loving your van! Just bought something like that myself and cannot wait to travel to some dark sites, hopefully meet at a starcamp one day. I only have 1 leisure battery in mine atm, I may need to up that (any tips?) I think I will also definitely be getting a diesel heater as they look like an essential. Clear skies
Great to see you back AstroStace and to get your mojo back! You bring so much to the astro world and have taught me alot along with guys like Trevor and Dylan, you're an absolute legend. I recently watched your video astrophotography flats and maths to work out target ADU for flat frames, it was so helpful thank you as it was something I've been confused about for a while. Have a great Christmas and hope you get back to full health soon 😀 PS you also have me googling astro camps now 🤔
Stace, I just watched this video. I have enjoyed watching your various videos over the past year. I actually purchased an iPolar polar camera after watching your review--just used it last night. Your pleasant demeanor, conversational style, and humble competence make watching your videos enjoyable. I have no idea what challenges you faced--and it's none of my business--but please know that life can be challenging at times--for all of us. I struggled with mental illness (OCD/Clinical Depression) for years, until I learned to think differently about myself and the world. I detailed my journey to mental health on my TH-cam Channel in four videos. Please keep sharing your love of the cosmos with all of us. You are a very talented person, and your contributions to our world bring joy to many--including me! Thank you!
Thank you so much Mark for this lovely feedback. I really appreciate it. I will indeed be back soon, I lost my dad suddenly in January and have also struggled with illness over the last year. But I’m getting there ! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. All the best!
@@AstroStace I am so sorry for your loss... Losing a loved one is one of life's most challenging events. My father is currently on hospice. I don't know how much longer he will be with us. I am trying to appreciate his presence. May you continue to get well. You have a wonderful life before you--and many people to inspire! May you enjoy a wonderful day!
Oh, my! And here I thought you'd run off and got married or something! Glad to hear your back in the game. Enjoyed the vid. Looking forward to seeing you again soon! Happy Holidays in the UK!
Great to see you back Stace. Your videos helped me a huge amount when starting out about 18 months ago and I’m grateful for your efforts on our behalf. You must put you first, don’t worry about “posting pressure”, we are all here and glad to see you when you feel able. Have a good Christmas and a great 2022
Hey Stace, I loved seeing your adventure! Road trips with astrophoto time are very therapeutic, and I hope it did you well! Loved the photos also. Cheers from Indiana, USA!
Hi Stace, glad to see your up and about and hopefully feeling better. 2021 has been an awful year with Covid, hasn't it? I was wondering where you'd gone. I know what it is like when you lose interest in Astro. I'm going through the same right now. The weather is awful with rain almost daily- together with clouds. It's getting me down. Hopefully. I will get over it. We just need some clear Sunny days and cloud-free nights to give us a boost,. All the best to everyone for Christmas.
Great to see you back in it. I too just met with my Astronomy group for the first time IRL last night. Kinda surreal from all the virtual meetings but was a great time nonetheless. Community is a great thing to have to refill that tank of motivation/inspiration.
I've only recently joined cloud magnets as a beginner in astrophotography , so I've hit the subscribe button and will look forward to speaking and seeing some of your pictures ,
We've all been out here...waiting and we're so glad you're back . Personal health and Astro Mojo can do you in anytime let alone during a Pandemic . Looking forward to whatever you decide to Post next . Cheers/SRK
a lovely astro-camp to meet friends and getting you back for new ideas. The weather either here in UK or my place at south Germany are not funny at this time. Take care your health and many greetings.
Great to see you back Stacey. awesome vid, it was brilliant to meet you all there and looking forward to the next camp already! So many happy memories over that weekend!
Hi Stacey, did I just see you apear on the BBC sky at night program? That was a surprise. If so, well done you came across very well and your selection of pictures looked great. 🙂 Dave C.
Hi Dave! It was indeed me :) thanks for the great feedback and kind words! They showed one of my earliest pictures and some of my more recent ones, so it gave an idea of progression:)
WIthout even watching, first off, WELCOME BACK! SO good to see you. Now, onto the video. EDIT. Well, I'm glad that you're feeling better, at least somewhat. I'm glad to hear you were out getting some stuff done. I like the image of the North American nebula, and I really do like Orion in the haze, it gives it something that you don't normally see. Great shot. All in all, I've very happy to see you back on TH-cam, and I look forward to your next set of videos, and I hope that your health continues to improve.
Thanks Gary! and thanks for coming back to my channel :) yes the orion shot is my fave too! Just a single 60s image with my 50mm lens and pentax with astrotracer! Sometimes simple is best :)
Great to see you back Stace, Birmingham's best TH-cam astrophotographer! We have had it a bit grim on the clouds of late? Only clear nights the wind blew the fence down, and I woke up to snow on the ground, but looking good tonight, trust the fates have aligned and you can catch some photons. Trolls - meh - they need to grow up, but totally understand when I have had dickhead comments on stuff, not fun. I guess Ludlow is about bortle 4 and only an hour away from Brum. I figured that area is about the easiest for quick access dark(er than home in Solihull in 8) skies. Agree on the star party some are a bit intimidating - i looked at Kelling - and the torrent of light rules to keep the visual folk happy totally put me off, definitely couldn't take the family - tell my 4 year old daughter she can't have a light on! Not family friendly, will have a look at the Cloud Magnets. Good for some short notice clear sky missions I hope, always easier to get motivated with others. The Pentax does look interesting, but having just put together another rig and used a DSLR for the 1st time in ages I wonder if I could ever be happy with the images again compared to astro cams. Will have another go tonight (however also have another new camera in the astro stable to get 1st light - too much to do and too little clear skies to do it under! Clear skies!
So pleased you are getting to a place where you can share and upload again! I'm new to Astronomy and found your channel via astrobiscuit love love love the content you put out.
I've missed your content over the last year, glad to see you are back again. Pay no attention to the trolls either. Can't wait to see what you are up to next!
Astrophotography can be a lonely hobby and very frustrating waiting for the UK weather to clear up. It doesn't surprise me at all that people can loose their astro mojo. I've never been to any astro meets but I do go out alone around the Ludlow area because the sky is so much better than the light polluted west midlands. Glad you are back on you tube, take it steady!
Wow another video. Welcome back. Rory to hear about your health problems. Look after yourself as there is no one more important than you to you and your family.
Good times Stacey! Glad you're feeling better. And trolls? Do you need me to bash anyone? I'll do it.

I don't either, especially when the person being trolled is just trying to help. Its a bit sad!
@@AstroStace thats the best way to deal with them Stacey. Remember its their issues not yours.
I'll help Dylan.

Wonderful to have you back. That is a sweet van and that countryside is so gorgeous! Photographer's dream.
Quite an adventure! Also super happy to see Astrotracer being used :) I love the final image of Orion with clouds creeping in, very beautiful!
Thanks Cuiv! and thank you for the encouragement when we did Shawn's chat video :)
