We are so close to finishing the shell of the boatbuild. Odisea Catamarans have been helping the project by keeping my costs as low as possible but we need a final push to get us over the line...not the finishing ling but the start line to the Elcano World Challenge.

I started the journey with Peter when he first was with Margarida, and I think another crew member or two. Soon it was Peter and Margarida and that is when I was invited to write a song for them. A short time later Peter premiered my song on episode 265. Really was kind of cool to have my song Sailing to Freedom out there. Later Peter used it for an intro for a while. I am pulling for your great adventure with this awesome Cat. Best of fortune for you. Burlington Bill busking on the road and on You-Tube.

Spent 3 weeks in Hanoi in the 1990's. Vietnamese can make anything out of nothing, don't waste anything, amazing people. Not surprised to see them building high quality world class stuff in the modern age.

Plukky, I am watching this build and Leo with his restoration of Tally Ho and it couldn't be more different in the way boats are built it's like chalk and cheese. An aluminium boat and a wooden boat. The time it takes to make this compared to a wooden bout is also totally different. I am loving this series and look forward to seeing it on the water. I also love how precise these guys are compared to other boat builders.... Cheers from Melb.

It won't be pretty at the end but bare minimum is $60K USD , really it's like 150K but who needs a bed and a toilet and a sink

I still get chills thinking about the times your boat was struck. I was working on a pair of engines on a Bertram in a marina, and a violent storm rolled through. I stopped working and watched it from inside the salon (engines were as you know connected to the bonding system⚡).The boat in the next slip was struck and shattered all the fiberglass antennae into shards that were everywhere, even 100' down the dock. They looked like sad palm trees. 😆

Why not put a wing in front of the your boat It would have to be-able to rise up and down below the water line it would use the ocean currents to move you along
The "we" was made famous by Charles Lindberg. Even titled one of his books that. He was answering questions after flying the Atlantic with "then we did this and then we did that" There were questions/ Making real progress. Can't wait to see the look on Parleys face when you sister up with his cat.

Understand. A lot spots you can save a lot of money. Build the batteries from cells yourself, thats not rocket science and much cheaper, navigation via OPen CPN and isailor/orca navigation via tablet, autopilot computer yachtDevices, fixed solar panels instead of semiflexibel => just seeing the roof video ther are a lot of even areas you cannot or can spare to walk on and with simple L or U brackets can mount fixed panels.

Your play with your self work harder
These videos are going to sell a hundred catamarans for these guys . If they were smart they would fit out the interior for you for whatever you can afford just for the marketing to showcase their work .
After watching a Video on a new Leopard t with something like 17 leaks , heating install that I as a heating tradesman consider dangerous - if it leaks water it leaks fumes . They ended up on the hard and having to separate the mast in the middle for repairs . The boat was so new it was still under warrantee - and they gave the owner a hard time !! leopard should have been ashamed of themselves .
I alway knew a Lagoon was a budget boat not built well , but the Leopard seems to be too . Imagine spending north of a million on a boat and they deliver it will 17 leaks and it needs to go on the hard for major repairs before it is a year old .
Par for the course for those bad cheaply made cats...worst and cheapest materials and bad construction....what do you expect.... everybody should do research into what goes into making a boat

"Building the ultimate performance catamaran" it's a bit hard to call it the ultimate performance cat when there's never been one built, it might be a big slow boat. Although highly unlikely to be slow, it's a bit rich to call it the ultimate performance cat when this is the first boat to be built
You obviously didn't see the attention to detail put in on the design of this cat by Naval Architects. She will fly !!!

How about the good old fashioned, “get a job” and pay for it yourself since you will be the main beneficiary ? Start relying on yourself for change and not what you can bilk unsuspecting viewers.
