Thanks for this. A question: Is Artec 3D Eva good for scanning shiny objects and glas as small as 3X3 centimeters dimensions?

Here are two resources that will help with shiny objects www.artec3d.com/news/3d-scanning-hard-to-scan-objects-on-halloween

Need to know if this scanner has any way of getting rid of the specularity on the object it's scanning. If not would this scanner work looking through polarizing film or a polarizing lens?

Try "Reduce Glare" feature in the Artec Studio Software
Reduce glare is intended to eliminate glare spots on texture. This option is only available for Texturing for Export (Texture Atlas) and requires many texture frames captured from different perspectives.

Artec 3D scanners are an excellent all round solution for capturing objects of almost any kind, including objects with black and shiny surfaces.

The scanner is not working, what can I do? When I want to scan, only fake things come up.

The experience with EVA has been Terrible. look at 7:53 max error is about 7mm .. Its a nightmare to scan flat surface like door of MPV where it start losing contact every couple of second. The commercials and real life is very different . These demo video fail to address those critical points..

@@Artec_3D sent email but too many explanations. The Pune reseller duped us with promise and false information. actual car scan and sheet metal surface and quality is terrible. the demo was done with Spider and LEO. I hope Arctec will take responsibility of addressing this as i have put my hard earned saving on this.
