Yes. You import it into your workspace and snap a mesh to it. Then you can 3d print it. At least, that is my ignorant understanding of how it works. That's my reason for getting the app too.
Thanks a lot for this detailed workflow! I do have a stupid question: how do you manage to make the Ikea plate stand still on your tripod? Like does it come with a screw ting or you did some work around it? Thanks again
on my fourth try , second time watching this video, I was trying to edit in meshmixer not many editing tools so important to get a good Model , to many rough edges and a hollow bottom so far.
Thanks for this. I wonder if the age of the phone impacts the outcome? I have tried a number of scans on a Pixel 4a5g running Android 14, and so far have only gotten one scan that was even slightly recognizable. Several came out looking like kaleidoscope images. The initial photos are clear, but something in the processing went sideways.
If the camera quality is not the best, the results will reflect that. But you can use any other camera, and then upload on the site as well. Also, don't forget to be in a well lit area for the best results.
Thanks for the response, @@NunoSilva3d I am unclear what is considered high quality in a camera these days, but the spec is: Pixel 4a 5G’s main camera module features a 12.2MP resolution with an f/1.7, 27mm lens. The 1/2.55" IMX363 sensor has been in use since the Pixel 3, and sports 1.4µm pixels. This combines with dual pixel PDAF and OIS for tried and tested reliable performance. I have been in a room with overhead florescent lighting and using LED floods for additional light. It seems pretty bright. I might try offloading and reloading the software and see if that helps. Then maybe try with a different camera.
I subscribed to your website to download the model and check its quality, but all I received was a simple 3D bread and a plant. I expected the model shown in your video.
Thank you, How can I done it in my app, in the client phone, and when the user confirms the final 3D object, then I store it on the server. Here's a question. I'm new to Nerf and photogrammatry. I found your tutorial educational. If I have made a scan, how can I share it from my website? Is that possible? Thank you in advance.
Hey great video, I'm into CNC machining and I frequently need to make job files of small to medium -large sized objects on solid works, is there a way for me to scan the objects with LIDAR or photogrammetry on iPhones or Android with mm accuracy and export it to solid works?
3D printers typically take OBJ (the file that was exported in the video) and STL types. The difference between the two file types is that OBJ tracks metadata, STLs don't. Source: I'm a 3D printer 🙂
I have gat s sony FX9 able to shoot raw dng. so i can generate single fotos with a film to speed up the capture process. Do you know tutorial to follow this way ? thanks a lot !
How is it supposed to figure out the objects size to duplicate a 3d scanned file? It doesnt mention this at all so its just for visual not an actual model.
I wish he would’ve shown the mesh without the textures on it. That’s the real meat & potatoes of any 3D scanning and super-important for reverse engineering and 3D printing.
Nonetheless i just tried it out with horrible lighting and no turn table just on the floor and my models turned out superb, export time for me took 30min? My phone is an s24 ultra maybe that played a role too. However, u do make a point, in his video hes using premium version which also allows 200 photos to be taken. Free version only has 70 but produces excellent quality that can be easily cleaned up in blender
Have you tried to make 3D models using this technique? Let me know how it went! 🙌
I have tried photogrametry technique using meshroom software
Created model to 3d Printer?
Yes, had two go's absolute rubbish, The second I made sure the BG was plain. still garbage.

What a great video. Thanks for explaining how to use KIRI Engine so thoroughly!
You forgot to mention that you have to wait 12 to 24 hours to get the model. Unless you pay for the pro edition.
Thank you. In a next video about it, I'll be sure to mention all the pros and cons regarding each version.
@NunoSilva3d thank u for ur work, and I could be nice if you make that video thanks!
That’s true im doing my exam project now im waiting for long for results plus cutting😭
this is an exceptional bit of information.... Thank you by the way....❤
Thank you, I think the Samsung phone scan was the best.
I liked it better too. :)
it's already done by Sony Xperia phone 3D Creator since 2018, even samsung already too late for this..
I didin't see any "samsung phone scane"on my samsung store. What is the apps name?
Love the Gears statue!
Great! 👍
HI, IS IT POSIBLE TO SOMEHOW CONVERT YOUR 3D MODEL TO A BLENDER MESH??
You can export from 3ds max to blender compatible file
Nuno! Love this video. thank you for sharing your knowledge! Can you advise on the model of turntable you use please? Thanks again
How would you do it for large objects (eg. The "huge cliffs" you mention in the introduction)?
sir please make a tutorial on lighting and render 3d Floor plan cut section in Lumion and d5 render
Goes to the list. :)
waiting from very long time, Thank you@@NunoSilva3d

Which output format should I use for posting and showing 3d data which allows rotate or zoom in/out in my website. Thank you
If you wanted to make an exact size replica, what would you do/use to size it properly?
Did you ever find out?
@@nodditiesoddities Nope.
@@nodditiesoddities mesaure the height IRL and scale the model to the same height
Just bought a Kiri pro license. Great overview 🤙💯. One question, why can't I use a turntable in featureless models mode?
How much it cost u per month bro? Is usd?

If Kiri uses Gaussian Splatting, what is the difference between using own software and using it?

It is possible to use this tipe of scanning with mobil phone for reverse engineering ? It is accurate ? Thank you.

Greatly explained. Thank you. 🤙🏿
thank you so much for sharing bro

How can I use the output product to 3D print / reproduce a simple object?
Thank you. well done tut.

Sir can you tell me the highest system configuration for lumion 13 for Intel processor
Sir please tell me
Focus on getting the best GPU possible. Processor ain't that important for Lumion
You can go to google tape configuration of lumion 2023

Hi, yhanks for share, I imagine you showed paid version. ¿? ¿would I be able to import it to Inventor?
Does anyone know how to resize the object? I need 2000 resolution.
Can Lumion also make something like this?
amazing video :)

For that you need other type of scanners. I'll make a video soon about it. Stay tuned.
Good job
Thank you sir 🥰
Very cool, can you 3d print these scans? Subbed 👍
I was wondering the same on 3:49 you see the outlet files where you see the STL option. Which should be able to use for slicing software

this app is free or paid?
You can use it for free with 3 scans limitation per week.

Has anyone tried to 3d print using this
he never mentioned the Queuing the free version takes forever to render the images unless you pay 35.99 a year smh
Both takes some time, usually I just go do something else and come back to it after a while.
