    Dammit James, not only can you not "keep me too long", you couldn't keep me long enough if you tried. Do more of these more often please and make them as drawn out, and long winded as you please. Upload more often if you're not too busy! My ELO is almost an abysmal 800 and I need all the titled content I can get from you..

      Yeah sometimes the engine doesn't think deep enough, Stockfish 14 NNUE in a good computer is the strongest so that's what it's used to analyze the games, although sometimes it gets surprised too!

    I use Dragon as my primary analysis engine. I know Stockfish is most people's choice because it is the top-rated engine, but Dragon, as can be seen from this game, comes up with some very interesting and dynamic moves at times. And to be honest, if an engine is rated 50-75 points higher than another one, will it really mean anything in terms of analysis to the average chess player?

    • @UrbanNilssonOssian
      @UrbanNilssonOssian 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use Leela for the same reason. Slightly lower ELO than Stockfish, but the creative moves it sometimes finds are worth so much more I think.

    Does time format even matter with engines? Dont they calculate in milliseconds? Or do they give them time to calculate EVERYTHING here?

    • @veni1
      @veni1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      obviously engines play better when they have more time to think like what are u thinking? they can solve chess in miliseconds or what? solving chess would be more information than it is possible to save using the entire universe so its just idiotic to think like that

    How I enjoy watching Chess Engines battle for the W! (Though it is slowly growing dull on me)
    Question, logically, can it even be possible for an engine to *ever* win as black?
    Highly doubtful.
    Humans can win or lose as black, even in GM-play but, I just can’t see that happening for engines which are often ranking near 4000 ELO!

    • @dabossman5650
      @dabossman5650 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      yea wikipedia says "Leela" did

    • @Life-Sky
      @Life-Sky 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah there are many games as black winning, usually you can see that the strongest engines can win not only as black but with a bad opening as well.

  • @01Thal
    @01Thal 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Well you can not apply human psychology on a computer game, since they have no fears. They don't say "What do you do now" and they don't fear losing and so forth

    • @hunter-tm2kl
      @hunter-tm2kl 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well you have to remember that they're programmed by humans, which means that there will be human bias that are passed on, which is why often non-neural network engines will miss sacrifices at low to mid depth. Notice how it's Dragon, the engine with the neural network playing the sacrifices.
