Hi mate , I’ve got a hinowa hs701 high tip with the kubota oc95 Diesel engine in. It’s becoming a pig to start turns of but usually will flatten the battery before it will start! I’m thinking of changing it to a petrol engine . Have you ever done this ?
Never did a conversion, shouldn't be a big problem, but you probably need the adapter plate that fits in an petrol engine, else the motor can be any Honda copy 13-15hp

It was behind the coupling on the pump but had no purpose as i could see...

Did you consider blue thread lock on your set screws and bolts to limit the chance of vibration causing a failure later?
I had some Loctite on them just didn't get it in the video it was so dark without the light.

does that copper trick work on slightly striped threads on ali ?
Yes works great, you don't get 100% but it helps a lot. Before the bolts would pull straight out but now they hold
