Perfect timing! I have been banging my head against the wall on how to paint those reaper launchers. They have a color that you don't see anywhere else. Not using Dark Reaper to highlight the Dark Reapers is a bit of a missed opportunity though. Although that might have pushed the model too far towards blue.
Cheers - yeah it would have haha! And when I did Maugan Ra last week I used it on the cloak for a more natural cloth effect, with a more neutral grey to give a harder edge to the armour
I really like the decision to use zandri dust and wraithbone. Those were the colours I assumed were on the model and I was surprised the official tutorial used administratum grey and white Templar. It doesn’t make any sense to me How the model achieved a cream Tone when using nothing but gray.
Looks really nice. Recently discovered your channel and have been binge watching your guides. How do you decide on what colours to highlight up the black armour with? For most colours the choices look reasonably obvious but that there are a few combinations for black!
Noice! C+C time, the agrax earthshade on the mask doesn't help. The edge highlights are really nicely done, tho. How have I not heard the paper towel trick before? Nice soul gems too.

Im new to the hobby and have been using your videos to help me paint my sisters of battle army! They are great and very easy to follow! One question though: A lot of people say invest in a good set of brushes but I don't know what a "good set" consists of. I've noticed that in your videos you are swapping between a few different brushes throughout. Any tips?
Thanks Fletch - welcome to the hobby! I use W&N Series 7 brushes, size 0 and 1 (should be a link in video description) and some of the GW white handle brushes for metallics etc. Hope that helps

Depends on the effect I want - greys give a neutral black, blues colder etc - so it depends I guess!
