  • We’ve ridden the XPulse 200 off-roader to death on this show and it is indeed good. But what if you want all that but only on tar roads? Well, Hero thought of that. Presenting the T version of the XPulse.

Amazing value. Good to see proper ABS too, rather than the linked brake option.

The yellow one looks really good. I like the dash. Hero is a great name. Indian bikes are tough. My KTM 390 Duke Mk2 is brilliant.

Seems that Hero is splitting hairs in their marketing strategy, the existing scrambler versions can do all this and more. The tread pattern looks dangerous for dirt roads. It would be good to see Hero offering a larger engine to take Triumph 400 market share.

While indian motorbikes are quite frugal in nature but hero is at the extreme end of frugality.

For those if us in N.America, 124kph is, uh, carry the 5, plus square root, um, divided by cupcake, is er, 77mph, quick enough to be trouble....

You're argument is like saying 'you can't travel to the moon on this here bicycle so it's clearly no good as a bicycle'.

Here's a question... Which is better value for money. Hero Xpulse 200T, Suzuki Gixxer 250R, Suzuki V-Strom 250 or some other motorcycle under 300cc I have not mentioned and is available in South Africa?

The Xpulse 200 4v is a better offroader and more comfortable than vstrom. Not so sure about 200T. Suzukis are better for highway high speeds

My Honda NC750 (my commuter) annoys me because it has almost no power I put up with it because I tell myself it just for work. I can't even imagine how you would be able to ride the Hero anywhere the speed limit is higher than 60km/h. Nice job on the advertorial but unless you 16 and need a bike to ride to school on I can't imagine how anyone can seriously ride a bike with almost no power at all?

I'm interested in knowing what country you're from, since I'm from India and we don't have too much of an issue with small bikes? THe xpulse 200t for example has a top speed of around 125km/h, and you can easily do 80 while having enough grunt to be able to do overtakes, or 100-110 if you like living dangerously. I personally use my father's 125cc honda, and despite having a dying engine because of mistreatment and a severe lack of oil, it can do 60 km/h no problem or 80 if you like living dangerously. and all of this doesn't even matter in the city, since we can rarely ever reach 50 km/h, let alone cross it.

The Suzuki’s will be more reliable I think…after that choose sporty or all purpose…that’s all you!

There's a reason why any Suzuki doesn't sell well in India. The difference between Japanese and indian bikes is negligible under 300cc as much as that these so called reliability factor isn't much of a USP for the Japanese.
