Hi, Marcia--Thanks for this really good video. But I do have a question. I live in Arizona but I need to schedule a meeting with someone in London. Under meeting time, do I enter in my AZ time or do I enter in the time the meeting will take place in London? London (at the time I'm writing this) is seven hours ahead of my time zone. In Zoom is there a way to also enter in the time of the meeting for the London participant as well as the time of the meeting in my time zone? If there isn't a way to enter in the London time of the meeting for the participant via Zoom, should I let the London participant know the time of the meeting in London somewhere in the body of my email since if I can't enter it in Zoom? Does Zoom automatically make the meeting available at the London time to the other participant? I hope this isn't too confusing!
Time zones are an important thing to be aware of! When you schedule a meeting, the Zoom form shows which time zone you are scheduling in. You can change the time zone if you want.
I share ideas for helping people with time zone conversion when you invite them to your Zoom meeting in my free Zoom hosting ecourse here - www.clcneighborhood.com/courses/3338878/about
@@ChadlyCreativeConsulting Hi, Marcia--Thanks so much for your help. I'll definitely check out the course!
This is brilliant

@@ChadlyCreativeConsulting I just recorded my first Zoom interview podcast yesterday
Thanks Marcia, and for your reply! Can you Record a meeting in the Basic free zoom account version, I heard you mention it as being available in the paid-for version (only)? And if so, could it be "reused" via TH-cam, Facebook etc?
Hi Andrew, My video about recording on Zoom answers these questions and more.🙂 th-cam.com/video/war83HizxWg/w-d-xo.html
Thanks so much for this video. I was wondering how you get your Zoom invitation to hyperlink.
Happy to help!
Thanks for the super easy video! Question...I don't see "Audio" options (telephone/computer audio/telephone and computer audio) when creating my invite. Please advise!
Do you have a free or paid Zoom account. Things have changed since this video was made. Free account no longer have the telephone Audio option.
@@ChadlyCreativeConsulting I have the free account. Thank you so much for your assistance. You ROCK!!!
@@thuyteepie You are welcome! Have fun with Zoom
I found the video helpful in scheduling a meeting, but I am still stuck as to how to send an invite. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
Zoom does not provide a way to invite people. It provides the information for you to share with the people you want to invite. One way to share that information is by sending email. What you DO NOT want to do is post the Zoom link in a public way - like on a website or public social media post. If you do unwanted people could join and disrupt your meeting.
I have reoccurring meetings at the same times each week. If I create a reoccurring meeting do I have to send out an email/text every week to join that meeting or does the information work again after being used?
Are you using the Zoom support for scheduling recurring meetings? That support does keep the meeting id the same. Here's info from Zoom - support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/214973206-Scheduling-recurring-meetings
@@ChadlyCreativeConsulting Thank you so much for the reply! I'll read that article but things are looking good.
zom use to send invites to attendees
Nice video. But next time please use the You-Tube function so that we can see the text on the screen.
Are you wanting to see captions on the video (they are available) or something else?
Thats great - but you dont actually show what happens when people join a meeting via the link email? Do they go into a waiting room? I'll look elsewhere.
People go into a waiting room or not depending on the settings for the particular meeting. My video about hosting for the first time may be helpful - th-cam.com/video/4QyiUAcE2MU/w-d-xo.html
had a hard time getting my client/invitee to turn the mute off on his phone, took half hour and I kept having to set up another meeting....btw, on the computer it only allows you to set up meetings every half hour and the limit says it is 40 min for a FREE account, but there is no 40 min option for a meeting, half hour or 1 hour, thats it, so pretty confusing.
The scheduled times for the meeting are for the people being inviting. You can start the meeting before the scheduled time and as long as you don't go past the limits of your Zoom account, you can go longer than scheduled.
Am I understanding this correctly. When you schedule a meeting with invitees, does Zoom not send the invite to them automatically? I have to copy the meeting invite and then send it via email myself?
Yes, you've got it. 🙂
What does SoulCollage have to do with ZOOM? Why do two different timesw show up? There seems to be no way to transfer the information. How do i do that?

Is there a way to schedule a meeting that I would like to attend that happens once a week and the same time?
You can schedule a recurring meeting to get a meeting ID?URL that stays available for you to use for meetings that happen repeatedly and you want to always use the same meeting ID/URL.
Hi, How do I get my Zoom invitation to hyperlink?
This video shows where to get the invitation information at 2:50. the URL to use as a hyperlink is in that information.
When I schedule a meeting, the Passcode option (under Security) is faded out and won't let me 'click' it. How can I change this? When my elderly relatives get my zoom invite in their email, there is no LINK for them to join the meeting, and they don't know what to do! So frustrating....
Hi Jan, That does sound frustrating! Here are a few thoughts...
1) Is your Zoom app up to date? Does updating it change either problem?
2) Is the Passcode option checked and won't let you uncheck it or unchecked and you can't check it? All meeting must have either a passcode or a waiting room - Zoom enforces that. So if you aren't using a waiting room, the passcode option will be forced to be on.
3) You might want to check the default security settings you have in place in your Zoom account - zoom.us/profile/setting
4) What do you relative receive in the email? How are you creating and sending the email to them?
How do you collect a list of email clients to join invitation , and send one invitation to all email members
You'll use your email provider or service to send the emails. You'll need have the email addresses already or get them from the people you want to invite.
@@ChadlyCreativeConsulting
Thank you for your reply .
Its efficient and worthy to prepare the client base email addresses before inviting members to a topic/lesson.
Im not sure whether you could send a additional reminder a few hours before start of lesson too ?
@@zaminrradiendo4846 That's up to you and what works best for your group.
Is it just me or is the video blurry?
Should have gone in more details.
Can I do an instant (Meet Now) Zoom Meeting?
absolutely - that an alternative choice that works well when you want to do a meeting immediately
@@ChadlyCreativeConsulting Can you explain how please. A video would be great. I can’t find one. Thanks.
@@MsPernickety If you are on a computer you can choose "New Meeting" from the home screen. That will start the meeting immediately. Give it a try to see what happens and explore. :-)
@@ChadlyCreativeConsulting But how do you make contact with someone else.
@@MsPernickety Are you asking how to invite people to a Zoom Meeting after it is going? Here is the Zoom support info support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362183-Inviting-others-to-join-a-meeting#h_9f0ed29e-20cb-4448-846b-a79f7fc2c1eb
The title should say that the tutorial is for a computer because none of the screens match my iPhone zoom app. 😼
Good point. It would be a good idea to update this video and include using the phone Zoom app.
Too confusing
TOOOOOOO FAST. I though you were doing the video for beginners.
