Damn glad you're covering FF. Always was a fan but this one seems insanely special in terms of it being a comeback of the series competing with the best.
70-80 hours, out of his 35-40 just the story which is 11 hours of cutscenes, I would recommend watching the 45 minutes of gameplay they released instead of IGN review to get a sense of the story, voice acting and music.
DMC with magic, potentially more tools than Nero, Dante and Vergil combined (tho, likely not as complex as Dante). With huge, explorable zones and secret bosses, too!
Actually no. To the uninitiated, particle effects seems like a design choice but for those that are keen, it is there to convey the type of combo/parry/Dodge/block used during the battle. A lot of the elements you see in FF16 are from FF14. The UI is simple, to the point, and always visible to continue giving information. It is meant for users to glace at it whenever it is needed at any time. When you become adept, you can tell what type of attack was done and their efficacy by those particle effects and numbers. Even the ground textures tells you what type of attacks you will expect and how to dodge them. The point is, when you get used to it, you'll feel like Neo with Matrix vision.
I love final fantasy, and was really hyped for this but those damages numbers, hopefully there is a setting to turn that off in the final version because I feel like you can barely see the character or what is going on behind all the numbers. To me personally so bad that if you can't turn that off in game i can seriously not play it. Like Hogwarts legacy gave you the option to turn it off. I really hope you can in this one too. Others than that great video man 🤘😁
powerwise maybe but the devs have said that plot wise it resembles House of the Dragon and considering this is Final Fantasy *PEOPLE WILL DIE A LOT* tons of MCs included
One other thing... FINALLY.. finally, the main character's weapon has a freakn' SCABBARD! Can't tell you how much of an improvement something so little like that makes for me. I am SOOOO TIRED of gigantic, stupidly-large weapons that are larger than the character and just, magically "float" on their backs... no scabbard, no holster, just floating like some silly, magnetic desktop paper weight.
Only cloud have a great sword, what are you saying, man? Squall have a gunblade, zidane 2 daggers, tidus a medium sword, vahn whatever you want, lightning a gunblade and noctis a mix of spears, swords, daggers and etc. you are talking something you don't played and you don't know about.
@@Jdotcdot462 7 is the same sword for 3 guys. Lol wtf dude?! Gladio have a normal greatsword and..... Stop here. You two are making this an army of greatsword users, wtf?
@@dandandan8686 just saying that cloud wasn’t the only one, I never said that there was an overwhelmingly amount of them. Just looks kinda awkward and unpractical in my opinion you don’t have to agree
@@Jdotcdot462 "unpractical", so when you see cloud in remake cutting everything and using powers you see that argument is just locked in reality, not in FANTASY or fiction. that thing you need agree with me LOL, just see.
Man... This REALLY, looks fantastic (no pun intended....) But,I really, wish they would just STOP putting the stupid HP bar above characters during conflict, like this... it ABSOLUTELY breaks the immersion for me, like completely. Otherwise, this may actually be the first FF game I purchase in almost 25 years!
Lotta weeb jrpg fans are gonna be pissed the turn-based is gone. As a typical gamer with no specific love for jrpg’s tho, this looks like a cool action game. And i am down.
We will see... I think Yoshi-P wants to have a flawless PC release, which is also a reason as to why there is no PC release as of yet after the 6 month exclusivity
They are polishing this game since last Summer so it’s gonna be amazing from the get go. This is a build from months ago and still looks way too next generation. FF15 looks and plays like crap in comparison to this. Just watch some gameplay from 15. This is like a 1st party PlayStation game in quality.
I don't know, I played FFXV and it was really meh and weird, at times it felt like Sonic 06, others it felt amazing, And then, towards the end you feel like you are playing a completely different game. I wonder if this thing will be a more coherent game from start to finish and don't have that Japanese jank, with souless NPCs, barren towns and MMO-ish flavor.
Well keep in mind the developers of XVI aren’t the same as XV, they’re CBU3, developers of XIV, they already have a great track record and have proven they know how to handle a final fantasy game
This is from the guy and studio that made the MMO of FFXIV. I don't doubt it one bit that we will get a great story, because if nothing else the story and the characters in 14 were/are great. FFXV was made by Luminous Productions which is also the studio behind Forspoken.

We gonna be fighting Jinchuriki and become the ten-tails of the game. It’s gonna be a Day 1 buy for me.
They stated in an interview that the scoring system is only available in NG+ and can be chosen to not be displayed.
super buttery smooth, commenting on 30fps footage, proves that motion blur works when it's used properly
It’s looking fantastic. My first DAY ONE Final Fantasy game.

Square Enix has been doing damage numbers for 40 years. I don’t understand why people are complaining about it now.
As a KH fan this is like my appetizer before my real meal (hopefully next year 🤞)
it's coming put in 3 months tho not a year but i hope u enjoy (if it's a PS5 stock thing then you're in luck the stock issue is over baby)

You can turn it off.. though i guess its part of the game... it makes something with your brain and it feels more satisfying
Hope you can take the damage numbers off. Also what is the point of showing the damage numbers in the first place?
I've always wondered that too. it literally does nothing but make your game look like a mobile game
Does Luke actually reviews games? Or speaks only from people's reviews?
yep on his main channel he does reviews and critiques, this second channel is more about reactions and discussions about specific topics
He does in his main channel, this is his live stream channel and these videos are clips pulled from his streams
@@captainziggy82 Thank you, I will look for his main channel as I am interested also on reviews.

I feel like I’m just watching the IGN video on the game, not a reaction..
