Yes, Erap had a good cabinet but it also helped his downfall. Erap recycled some of Ramos cabinet members and made GMA the then VP as DSWD secretary. In the end, when jueteng-gate happened, these same people are the ones who first turned their back on him. The first and most important criteria that Duterte should follow in choosing cabinet members is LOYALTY. Don't give Robredo any meaningful cabinet position. Get cabinet members that he know will be with him through thick or thin. This worked for Aquino that's why he was able to finish his 6 years.

Yes, Erap had a good cabinet but it also helped his downfall. Erap recycled some of Ramos cabinet members and made GMA the then VP as DSWD secretary. In the end, when jueteng-gate happened, these same people are the ones who first turned their back on him. The first and most important criteria that Duterte should follow in choosing cabinet members is LOYALTY. Don't give Robredo any meaningful cabinet position. Get cabinet members that he know will be with him through thick or thin. This worked for Aquino that's why he was able to finish his 6 years.

Mayor Duterte has more responsibilities in his hands now that he will be the president of the Philippines. Yes, as a lawyer he should know who must compose his cabinet. He should have high expectations and high standards in choosing his officials. They will represent the Filipino people who believed in Mayor Duterte. Philippines need a leader who can implement the law according to the constitution and what the law makers have signed on paper. We need to stop the corruption even in the small offices. Time to cut the red tape and those employees at the airport who asks for money from the travelers. They need to be terminated and punished accordingly. The only way that our country will succeed is by getting rid of graft and corruption in all agencies.

Let’s give the new engine of growth which is called MAPHILINDO; MA stands for Malaysia, PHIL stands for the Philippines and INDO stands for Indonesia. What is being propose here is the economic integration of Malaysia, the Philippines and Indonesia if possible the proposal of single unified currency similar to that of the Euro. The reason why I am suggesting to remain in residency in Mindanao is because there you will be closer to our new economic partner/ancient brethren Malaysia and Indonesia. Instead of ships going to China Sea from the Malacca Strait lets build large ports one preferably in Davao City so that the shipping lanes will instead be rechannel to Celebes Sea and ask Indonesia to built its own big port also in that same area(please see google map). Now that the economy of BRICS has gone out of fashion its now time for MAPHILINDO to be the next engine of growth. If we are going to influence our other South East Asian neighbor then we will have an economy of more than 600 million people that hopefully will be bigger than the economy of Europe.
