Not only Duterte is popular in Mindanao but also to Filipinos worldwide. I think we Filipinos have learned a lot from past experience and are going for leaders that has proven themselves worthy. Duterte has done a really good job to the city of Davao as well as Bongbong Marcos to Ilocos. We should pay attention to politicians who haven't done anything significant to our country -- we should never vote for them again.

the guy on left nailed it. president duterte touched the core frustrations of the majority citizens wanting true change for the country. and i think he's not the one taking the challenge for the change because he's the change in the philippine government. the people who are forced/will be forced to take the challenge are the current politicians in position (corrupt or non-corrupt) to ride with duterte's wave of transparency and determination to fight and resolve our country's delemas for decades.

Mindanao should be new NCR, climate there is better than than in Metro Manila or the rest of the country, which means govt could save more money because infrastructure will require lower maintenance.
