  • @diforoni9934

    what is making the difference in this test is that on the T7V the bass reflex port fires at the rear, while on the A7X the port is at the front giving us the feeling of strong bass more space and smooth mids.

  • @joewolf38
    @joewolf38 2 ปีที่แล้ว +16

    The TV7 is more boxy, the AX7 sound is concentrated, massive. I think the diff comes from reflection, front port vs. back port...but the freq resp curve is great both

  • @mateusmorais1185
    @mateusmorais1185 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Is it possible to make a comparison between 1700BTs and M601DB (both from Edifier)? I think it would be interesting to compare them since they are in the same price range, and we could see if the M601DB's subwoofer is justified.

    Awesome, the 7tV (which I own) are a tad bassier, that I already noticed at home. Also the mid definition in the A7X is way better, I play mostly guitar and listen to rock / fusion music, I think after this I need to save for the big brothers.

    Wow I thought that the a7x would completely demolish the t7v and it didn't. I don't understand the need for all the extra top end range that the a7x has 🤷🏿‍♂️ what's it doing when the t7v sounds no different up top. There is a difference the way the mids are delivered though. Reluctantly I favour the t7v apart from in "mortals" and I really don't want to 🤣🤣 nice work 👍🏿

    A7X crushes T7V in ALL aspects of the frequency spectrum. In general, deeper, more spacious sounding and mids are amazing. These moitors are hard to beat for the price. Or even come close to. I love mines and I do this for a living.

      thanks for the info. I could hear a difference but I couldn't tell.
      T7X more enclosed, A7X more open/airy?

  • @Musicofjonesey
    @Musicofjonesey ปีที่แล้ว

    Happy with both. A7X is clearly more open to my ears. The T7V sound boxed up in the mid range. I could mix with either just find but prefer the A7X.
    If you can afford it I’d go A7X all day, either way you can’t go wrong imo.

  • @DT-yt2zh
    @DT-yt2zh 2 ปีที่แล้ว +22

    The A7X is currently ~$1,500/pair US vs. around $750/pair US for the T7V. Are the A7X a sonically better speaker? They certainly have a different sonic signature, and on most music I seem to prefer them, but they are not twice as good. Yes, I understand in the speaker business that often cost doesn't relate to perceived performance, and as you chase "perfection" the expense raises radically, but human hearing is so poor that these two speakers are close enough that after a few minutes of blind listening, I suspect you would be hard pressed to determine which speaker you were listening to. Value goes to the T7V.

  • @andrelefebvre5453
    @andrelefebvre5453 ปีที่แล้ว

    Is it just me, but I find the TV7 closer to the source material? The AX7 seems to pull the mids back. Maybe it can be pushed forward a tad with settings? Definitely like the sound of the TV7 better here. Now, this is from a YT video at 1080p, so of course room matters!

    • @andrelefebvre5453
      @andrelefebvre5453 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did buy a pair of T7V after watching this review/test last month. Very happy with them, but why aren't they notching the level knobs? That would be very helpful to have exact matching levels. Stilll need to treat my room, but so far - it's an incredible product from Adam Audio!

  • @d0ntbeevil
    @d0ntbeevil 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Man on Fire reveals the mid hype of the T7V (which I own) as compared to the A7X. I was looking at upgrading to them due to being front ported, which would probably also be better for my small room (11w x 11w x 10h). So that's an interesting discovery. Definitely would influence mixing decisions. Although coming out a or into the source clip changes things around. Hmm.
    Retrowave source clip slides more easily into the T7V while the A7X seem to swallow the mids noticeably.

  • @rionvalet
    @rionvalet 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    1:02 or 4:12 just listen carefully to the switch. you can hear the difference that the A7X has that nasal tone around 2khz - 6khz, & the T7V is much more balance soundingg.. man I was surprised by the T7V. This is a great budget studio monitor.
    But I'll say, A7X is more detailed. However, TV7 is more balanced.

    The T7V s hold up amazingly well against the A7X s - they're 90% there for less money. No wonder Adam replaced the old AX series with the AV series. Also, the T7V is no2 best seller on Thomann with T5V at no 3. Rokit 5 is no1 - tipped up mids I guess.

    isn't it stupid to compare the sound of the speakers by listening to the recording on TH-cam, for example on the phone speaker or tv speakers or computer speakers, even if they were a studio speaker?
    Of course, you can hear some differences, but passing judgments that this or that sounds (!) better seems quite ridiculous.
    It's fair to say only that these or that speakers sound better on my phone or TV, isn't it?

  • @VCVRackIdeas
    @VCVRackIdeas 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    here is the point of DEEP track - adam t7v clearly shows that kick doesn't really fit to the track. While A7x says it's ok) So T series go lower or shows REAL life decay of low frequencies

      I think these demos are okay for pointing out some of the differences between two different monitors, but you cannot realistically judge any of them based on a youtube video. They won't sound like this in person. They're being captured by a microphone in some random room and being played through your speakers.

      @@rionvalet true. A7X has too many fanbois and also they seem to forget that studio monitors are for CRITICAL listening and not listening for pleasure. The T7V are more balanced from this demo, the A7X sound more colored and fun.. which most of the times means they're not flat enough..
